Says after the Sam Soliman fight he will vacate the WBA title and move down to middleweight... Then the vacant title will be fought for by Kessler and Miranda on an Andre Berto undercard...

The other fight on the card isn't set but could feature super middleweight slugger Edison Miranda against Fulgencio Zuniga, a fight HBO has approved, according to Miranda promoter Leon Margules. However, there also is a possibility the scrapped fight with ex-titleholder Mikkel Kessler could be resurrected for the show, he said. If Miranda-Kessler comes back together, it could be for a vacant belt, because Anthony Mundine, who will defend his WBA title against Sam Soliman on May 28 in Australia, plans to give up the belt if he wins and move down to middleweight, according to the WBA.....

Serious discussion here... what do you think Choc could do at middle? I doubt he would go after Pavlik or though its a fight id love to see... I personally think he'd go after Winky Wright first as theres plenty of rumours around that fight and then if succesfull he would go for someone like Sturm or Abraham

Thats the question im asking... Roy Jones Senior told him to do it apparently...

IS Anthony Mundine about to slip down to the middleweight division? Mundine and Solomon Haumono have been training in Pensacola, Florida, for the last three weeks under the watchful eye of boxing legend Roy Jones snr, who has apparently told Mundine that his future probably lies in the middleweight division. Mundine, who presently fights at super-middleweight, has always expressed a desire to hold belts in three divisions.

Ive always thought Mundine should be at middleweight. He dosnt seem put on much weight between fights.

How about a middleweight fight v Felix Sturm followed up by Pavlik? Would that be enough for you dip****? :err

Let's say he stays at super middleweight after Soliman and then fights Kessler....then what? Win or lose there's nothing. Bute wants nothing to do with him and there's no other fighters that can bring in the $$$ worth wasting time with.

    At middleweight he'll dominate.

That'd be right. Kessler shouldn't be able to make 160.. Choc should be safe there..

The problem is that everyone wants a piece of Ronald. To get that fight in the US after Soliman would take alot of negotiating and no one wants to say to much until then.

    **** you.

You're talking crap about **** you know nothing about. Let's here the details about negotiations or offers that have gone down between Mundine and the guys he has been avoiding.

Only known fact is your known facts are speculation and rumors that you pull from other peoples arseholes.

i wouldnt say he has dodged fighters, he has fought guys previously many said he wouldnt go within 400 metres of. I wouldnt say either Joe or Mundine dodge each other.

Calzaghe has played dodgeball his whole career until finally travelling out of his comfort zone to fight a 44 year old for megabucks.

What you have to look at regarding Mundine is the bigger picture. What is going to earn him the big titles AND the big money. At super middleweight the champions are European. Even if he went on to unify the division the only big fight in the US would be Jermain Taylor.

Now if he drops down to middleweight then the floodgates open. A fight against Wright (should it eventuate) or Sturm would put him in a great position to negotiate with Pavlik. This is the type of fight that he has always wanted, not to fight in Australia or Europe against guys like Kessler or Bayer, but mega fights in the USA against Dela Hoya type personalities...

If you know Choc's ego you'll know what I'm saying is wright ;)
