I'm not going to try and make Gatti out to be some type of ATG cause he isn't but he was the WBC champ when Floyd him. Ultimately though if you have a problem with this fight then you need to look towards Floyd's then promoter Bob Arum. Floyd wasn't even close to being a superstar then and that fight was his first ppv where he was the b-side.

He wasn't a prime fighter, but he wasn't nearly as shot as Mayweather's detractors say he was..

Who cares what kind of prime he was in, they're different class boxers.

Exactly. It's like arguing Dustin Nichols was past-prime when he fought Wilder.

How is he in the hall of fame then? That's a pretty huge overrating of him as a boxer. When he did fight ATG's he got wiped out like he was a C plus fighter.

The best version of Gatti couldn't beat Floyd now.

Almost the same post as above...but...

The best versions of Gatti and Paz could never have beaten the worst version of Floyd.

Prime Gatti vs. 40 year old Floyd still gets embarrassed and beaten in a one-sided bludgeoning.

Gatti is no world beater but the whooping Mayweather put on him was enough to make prime Hatton and Prime Cotto turn tail and duck, so I think it's a decent win nothing super spectacular

40 year old Floyd without IV probably not. How long has Floyd juiced for ? I guarantee it was through his mid thirties probably earlier.

    Too predictable.

There's no bias in what I said. At all. In fact, I simple stated facts.

There was massive controversy over the decision in Bradley I. This is a fact.

There was massive controversy in Marquez III and IV regarding Marquez and doping. This is, again, simply a fact.

There was massive controversy after Floyd was discovered to have had a needle in his arm. Yep, a fact.

    :deal

There were firestorms of controversy surrounding Bradley I, Marquez IV, and the Mayweather fight. Can you argue the contrary? Nope.

    :deal

These controversies exist regardless of whether I stated them or not or as you say, my bias in pointing them out. To dismiss the circumstantial evidence entirely is to be biased.
