No shame in losing to the P4P#1.

If Hatton lost to somebody like Bradley, I'd be leading the calls for him to retire.

 

Why what's wrong with Bradley?

 

Who cares, people love to see fighters who actually go for it rather then fade away to a convincing pts loss. They also like to see an undefeated fighter who's willing to get in the ring with the absolute best in in the world;in their prime.

 

He'd never fought somebody in the top 50.
He's green.
And he's just nothing special.

If Hatton lost to a guy like that then I'd consider him past it and due for retirement.

 

If your not a name he has to be dismissed, its popularity that gets you on your way in boxing.

 

It's how you lose, not who you lose too. If he was truly a good enough fighter, he would of made It a closer fight, not losing every round before that.

If it went the way it was going and went to a UD, 119-106, 119-106, 118-107 wouldnt have been the best of scorecards, worse than Corley.

 

The scorecards would have looked horrible yes.

But in reality points should have come off Floyd, not Hatton. And I think Ricky won 2 or 3 of the first 6 rounds. And if points come off Floyd instead of Hatton, then the second half of the fight would have panned out differently.

But we're talking hypotheticals now and we have the facts in front of us.....Hatton got KO'd, that's all that matters. We'll get to see the rematch next year, lets hope for a Hatton win.

 

I had him winning round 5, some may have give him round 1 but maybe they were convinced by the jab that Hatton landed, but round 1 many forget that the last minute of the round Mayweather was landing on Hatton, while Hatton was missing, so I had to give that round to Mayweather.

Other than that I gave Hatton no round, Hatton was doing a lot of the work and the pressing but he was missing just way too much.

Round 2: 20-26%
Round 3: 19-41%
Round 4: 14-33%

If Hatton didnt get a point off maybe he could have took the 6th but he lost his head in that round and let Floyd sneak it. I dont think Hatton has any chance in a rematch.

 

I've heard you come out with this line before in this situation. Where did you pick it up? Its complete nonsense. I take it you only like to use it because its a way to try and use the one Mayweather loss, against the P4P number 1, to ridiculously nullify or detract from all the previous achievements/ victories in Hattons career?

For instance, for a light welterweight, getting outpointed by Timothy Bradley at 140 is A LOT worse than getting KO'd by Floyd Mayweather at 147.

 

Why has this tread became about Hatton? Witter has been honest here by stating he gave a bad performance and underestimated his opponent. I hope this defeat humbles him and gets him to focus on himself not Hatton.

It's not nonsense at all, Hatton dropped his guard and just lunged In going for his body, It doesn't matter If your Mayweather or not, he gave Floyd enough seconds to easily know what to counter with.

Most world class fighters would of countered him easily that night too as he basically told Floyd what he was going to do.
