Just rescored the fight: Clottey got robbed no question

It was clearly close. So, a 'robbery' is not justified. It's subjective. Fair enough Danny_Rand if you think Clottey won the fight, others disagree, that's fair enough too.

we should agree that fights like this are GOOD for boxing............and the fact of the matter is Clottey is KNOWN for being inactive during fights.....so this shouldn't be much of a surprise that he 'gave away' two of the last three rounds.

all jokes aside, good fight, I gave it to Cotto but have no problem with people scoring it for Clottey....it was that kinda' fight, as I say Quartey-De La Hoya, where either fighter has an argument without either having a one-sided argument. :good

1. If you know anything about boxing you should know Compubox is a piece of ****.
2. To scream robbery you should AT THE VERY LEAST see Clottey winning by 3 or 4 points. Especially when he was the challenger.
3. Round 1 was a 10-8 round. Judges could easily give him 10-8 in round 6 where Cotto had him in the corner for almost 2 minutos whipping his ass.

It was a close fight. I think Cotto won 115-112. But I can't complaint if someone has for Clottey by a point. However, thats very far from robbery. challenger needs to defeat the champion convicingly.

 

I had it for Clottey by two points. Cotto should definitely have been penalised for his Judo antic, makig it even wider.
However, I do think the cut was a big factor in the fight, I would pick cotto if they fought again.

 

Clottey did a lot of damage in the rounds he won. He just didn't win enough actual rounds. There is no debate Cotto got the beating but hypothetically if you dish out a beating in 6 rounds and then narrowly loose 6 rounds and get KD then you loose the fight.

i scored it 120-108 cotto.

 

i scored the 1st round a 10-6 because it wasn't just a knock down but a knock down by a jab

i scored the 6th 10-8 because cotto tapped that ass

and i scored 10-8 to every round where clottey stood back and blocked like a ***git instead of fighting like a real man.

 

Cotto is champion of nothing but paper. And there is no way Cotto won 7 rounds in this fight.[/quote]
