I think I had the exact same card. Fight wasn't a robbery though.

I thought it was the right result taking into account the deductions. Whether the deductions were fair or not is another question.

had it about the same Khan really is an energy fighter as lamont labeled him

comes out for the first minute of every round on his toes flurrying and moving then the rest of the round retreats throws less and languishes on the ropes and lets petersen tee off

if he can fight all 3 minutes the way he is supposes to he will win this time

I also scored it for Khan. Close fight, however -- not surprised that some scored it for Peterson.

I've also wondered about Khan's clear problems on the inside, and why they were never addressed after the Maidana match. I think Rico may be correct in that Khan and Roach realise that he simply isn't built for that sort of thing due to the questionable punch resistance. He doesn't want to fight on the inside at all -- for Khan, the ideal fight is where he can box on the outside for the whole match. (Reminds me a bit of Wlad in that sense.) Now that all the attention has been focused on his pushing tactics, he's going to have to find other ways of avoiding inside fighting. I think his best bet is working on clinching and tying people up effectively. It can really change an entire fight...Mayweather, for example, neutralised one of Hatton's greatest strengths (bodypunching) throughout the entire fight by locking his arms on the inside, bending below the waist, using the forearm, etc. All sorts of tricks to spoil his work up close. (Although Cortez also helped him out by constantly jumping in to break the action, so the choice of referee also helps or hinders.)

I think one big problem for Khan is Peterson's physical qualities. Peterson seems as big as Khan and has the strength to push Khan back on the inside. It's harder for Khan to lean on him and impose himself due to this, and when he tries to clinch, Peterson outmuscles him and starts throwing hard bodyshots. Maybe Khan needs to work on building this sort of specific strength, the kind you need to wrestle with others in the clinch, stand your ground and spoil their work, because otherwise all he can resort to is wildly pushing them away and running again.

could have gone either way. Although Khan should have been DQ for his constant holding and pushing and headlocking. if he didn't break those rules he would've been koed.

Khan won the fight, and he will win the rematch, especially with it not in DC.

The whole "being in DC" excuse is lame, Khan SHOULD have been able to outclass Peterson convincingly, regardless of venue, if he were in fact what he claims to be. The reality is he's not that much better or worse than Peterson, and there were many claiming Peterson was a "B class" fighter prior to the fight, which he may be, but Khan is no better than Lamont regardless how the fight was scored. I think Lamont will beat him again, and Khan's career (if he chooses not to improve upon his flaws) will not reach the levels some projected.

It was razor thin I had it by one for Lamont but it would have been hard to argue it going either way.

Glad Khan has , seemingly , gotten over his hissy fit . If he feels cheated he should be using that in the gym to get ready not in the media to cry about it.

khan needs to run less and use more boxing savy technique more, just look at how morales handled maidana compared to khans back pedaling.

he can do it mostly cuz he has that much energy, but he needs to be more conservative with what he uses his energy on,the more energy on sitting down on good hard punches and effective combinations would do better than running after flurrying some random 4 punch combination.

the way khan faught paulie should be more like the way he should fight overall.

ide like to see more feints and head movement from khan.

slip under and away like roach told him to,dont hang on the ropes, dont push and foul with anything, turn peterson and stop him setting down on his punches by khan using slight footwork to the sides and setting down and getting off first on peterson and hurting him more often.

Khan won by 2 rounds on my scorecard, but like many others, i had a few close rounds that could of gone either way.

Khan won, but I admit it was not a robbery. He will win the rematch though.

Peterson won it on clean effective punching and agression. Cant understand how so many people have Khan winning. Obviously being swayed by all his bull**** talk afterwards. No doubt Peterson will win again but Khan will get the decision.

I don't have a RBR, but I remember having it 113-112 for Peterson.

    It's a 10 point must system, so you can't have a round scored 9-9
