I am aware of Calzaghes jab. But this also leads me to my point - which is that Calzaghe doesnt land jabs except for the rounds 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

These are rounds where Calzaghe is landing the more damaging shots as well and rounds that he has won on my scorecard. He doesnt outjab Kessler in any other rounds - round 5 is up for discussion though.

Initially, I thought that you had galantly accepted the defeat of MK to a better boxer and I had nothing but admiration, but now you have made yourself look quite silly. Go to bed with no supper.

Well - its quite obviuos that Joe won clearly:deal

Im just pointing out the fact that the scorecards where lying and that most people scored this fight wrong.

People got carried away with rounds 8, 9, 10 and 11. Joe was DOMINANT in these rounds but the rest where fairly close.

I dont want to be a complete idiot - but I had to point this out since no one has bothered doing so.

i think it was more a 7-5 type of scoring than say a 9-3.

lederman was way out with a 10-2. :patsch

i think rd 8 was the pivotal rd in the fight.

kessler looked to start that rd fast and had a bit of success. but calzaghe came roaring back and hurt him to the body.

that knocked something out of kessler down the stretch i thought. :tired

You are confusing me on this one. In the opening post you say that you scored it 115-114 in favour of JC!:think To me, that is close.

This is a good card. Calzaghe won clearly. Kessler did enough to make it a fight.

    Sorry.

The only round I can cleanly give to Kessler is round 4.

The only rounds you could even think of giving to Kessler on top of that are 2,7,12.

Give Kessler the benefit of the doubt and give him 2 of those 3 rounds.

    Thats 9-3 Calzaghe.

So i can see why people have it 11-1.

Saying Calzaghe only won by a round is ****ing ridiculous, it wasnt even close.

    Post of the Year candidate.

Since Saturday night, it seems the number of "it was close" posts has been increasing, as have the "Dawson would beat Joe" threads and posts.

In a week or two (or a day, as ron said), Kessler will have been straight-out robbed and Dawson stops Joe within 2 rounds. Hilarious.

    :good:thumbsup:good

I had it 7 rounds to 5 in favor of Joe. However the way Joe came on and swept rounds 8 through 11 in dominate fasion made the fight seem more lopsided in Joes favor.
