But in the 1st Cotto fight, Margarito didn't have illegal wraps. Cotto's cornerpeople were there at the dressing room and saw nothing illegal.

In the rematch, Margarito was Bribed to lose, inn exchange for keeping his re-instated license and extra bonus bribe money, under the table.
