4. is the key. Under Arum they could've bled the commission dry with their lawyers if this had ever happened.
Questions that need to be answered...!!! 1. If the CSAC did MISLAY the pads, then why haven't any CREDIBLE boxing sources reported it...??? 2. Did the CSAC make the lab reports available for the public viewing...??? 3. If Capetillo & Margarito are INNOCENT, why have they not gone to greater lengths to prove it...??? They had a seasoned lawyer in Daniel Petrocelli. Sue the CSAC...??? 4. If the pads were MISLAID, then why didn't Arum, Margarito, Capetillo, Petrocelli use this alledged blunder to their advantage...???
Margarito is a cheat a disgrace to this sport, cotto was schooling him in the second fight eye no eye he didnt have the bricks this time
Margo is a cheat point blank. There is proof of this from a lab and if the whole thing was a "plot to accuse margo" for what ever reason, then they should have tried to fight the outcome in court. First both margo & his coach claim they know nothing about the wraps, then later on once there has been time that passes by the coach takes the blame. Its obvious that Margo & the coach reached a agreement, the coach would take the blame & margo would still give him his cut of what he was getting paid. Im sure they took this to a lawyer & this was the lawyers advice.
What did that fat lying POS Richardson expose??? All the scumbag exposed was that he was a blatant liar. What happened to the BLOCKS that POS claimed fell from the wraps??? No one else saw them but the lying fraudOnly cheats there were Richardson , Juiced up Mosely & the CSAC. That farce should be called Night of the Phantom Blocks
BULL****!!!! There never has been any proof of anything worse that a used gauze pad was accidently put in Margarito's wrap instead of a new one. The lab NEVER proved Margarito cheated or tried to cheat They deemed the pad HARMLESS!!!!! When asked to produce the pad by Margarito's rep the CSAC could not produce it. Even Helen Keller & Ray Charles could see the travesty here
Agree. They stopped the fight at the point Margarito started catching Cotto. Typical. There was sweet FA evidence of Margarito doing any glove loading. If that little pad that fell out was the evidence, anyone who knows anything about wrapping hands knows it was a trumped up charge. Tony wasn't the same fighter as their first fight, he always took a lot of shots no matter who he fought.
I was at the fight, and the stoppage was bull****. Margarito hadn't been able to invest as well in the first half as he had in their 2008 encounter, and his momentum in the second half was also not nearly as strong (unsurprising on both counts, given that he was a poorer, shopworn version of the one from forty months or so prior) — but the 9th had been very much his best round, and Cotto had shown signs of discomfort during that session. The stoppage was indubitably political, hastily manufactured to ensure that Cotto got his storyline revenge over the heel who grievously cheated him and derailed the seemingly unstoppable brand, just in case those championship rounds got a bit too tough for Miguel. Tony's eye was no worse than it had been a few rounds prior, but the bald *** with the toy stethoscope knew what his job was. That's not to say Margarito absolutely would've gone on to stop Cotto again, but he deserved the chance.
I remember a sweet second fight. The boxing from Miguel was pretty, but like the doctor said "we didn't stop it early, we let it go a few rounds" before essentially he Tony had no more peripheral vision. There can only be one man who did that to him: the mighty Manny Pacquiao! Seriously smoger tried to prelong the fight, and before the fight Steve smoger told Margarito in the dressing room "I'm giving you a fair chance, not judging on what happened with naz and company". This kind of lifted Margarito s spirits as there was a serious joyless tension in the air which he broke. Can't imagine another ref who would have came so close to a natural decision as possible. Yes Marg was getting his shots in, especially late. And yes Cotto was holding up physically. I personally think if they covered margaritas good eye and asked him how many fingers? Robert Garcia should have tapped him on the leg the amount of fingers cause he couldn't see he was blind, but that is something that one needs to workout in the gym. At the end of the day, Margarito can absorb any amount of damage coming his way, but Miguel has some serious skills.
Smoger isn't to blame. The follicularly challenged SAC agent with the toy stethoscope made the call there.
Fun Fact: Margarito never had a single knockout after being exposed as a cheat against Mosley. Not one.
