Toney was taking it easy. He basically slipped Rahman's jab and peppered rahman with a few jabs and body shots. In the third round Rahman lost his cool when he got head butted and Toney immediately took advantage of it turning the fight completely one sided.

    Thanks, Punisher.

When Scar tried to give HR the 2nd and Sues went along with him, I knew it was time to give the round scoring from the fight's commentators as well as take and provide some notes. I can't let that attempted "Jedi Mind Trick" stuff pass.

Before the cut, HR was getting worked and was on his way to defeat. It's important to document this so that the Has-been nuthuggers can't hide behind the headbutt like Has-been was trying to. JT was setting HR up, just as he told Jay Glazer he would do. Conversely Rahman, who said he would start fast, couldn't find Toney and wasn't even letting his hands go much. In other words, what he thought was going to happen in the fight wasn't happening, and this contributed to his decision to quit.

Again, this is why fighters aren't allowed to stop fights on their own, and doctors make the call. Otherwise, more fighters would try the crap that Hasim did.

Thankfully, the doc, refs and all others concerned got it right. And Has-been was thwarted in his attempt to steal JT's victory and hide his own cowardice.

    I'm out. Later, all!

    :good:thumbsup:good

Exactly someone with some sense here that isnt up Toneys fat ass. Rahman clearly won the 1st 2 rounds and was on his way in the 3rd until the cut occured by a HEADBUTT nothing Toney did on his own and then Rahmans vision was obviously blurred the dude had no clue rights where coming at him. Rahmans been in much tougher battles hes not going to just quit for no reason if hes a quiter he wouldve quit in the 12th agianst Maskaev long before it was stopped. The man has a family and wants to actually have the vision in both eyes to see them. He will live to fight another day thankfully.

Rahman did try to make excuses for his knockdown against Maskaev, the guy was getting floored by punches and looked to the ref to say he wasnt hurt, he even grabbed onto Maskaev's ankles on the ground as well. Rahman knew his career was in the balance, and when he seen the opertunity to get out of what looked to be a tough fight, he took it.

I just hope Toney looks past the mentally weak Rahman, and trys to get a bigger, better match, he's still a big name fighter who can draw attention.

Yup he "plainly" and "simply" said he didn't want to fight Toney on a Goosen Tudor show with one eye.

    Nah,

    Once again.....

Toney is one fighter you do not want to fight with a cut, Rahman knew this.

    Perfectly said, Punisher.

Rahman wanted to quit in hopes of either getting a 'do-over' against JT or else ducking him after getting a NC. Instead, he got TKO'd after 3 rounds after tossing in his own towel.

I hope Toney keeps working hard. Now that Crock is on the scrap heap he can get ready for the next step in his quest for a major belt.

Exactly. He was trying to get out and save face. I am glad that the commission didn't let him get away with it.
