Just rewatched Forrest vs Mayorga II

Mayorga was pretty fast cack then too people seriously underrate his speed at 147. It wasnt just wild shots coming at you they were fast and extremely heavyhanded hard shots.

 

He had Forest's number the same as Forest had Mosley's

 

well i saw an interview where he said he was at 180

and that he took the walker tune up fight at 160, to be able to get down to around 150 for cotto

 

Actually Tito hit him flush a few times and Mayorga only went out with body shots! DLH and Shane are the only two men to KO Ricardo for real.

buddy... he did that near the start of the fight and started losing from that moment on, as tough as he looked in it... the knockdown he got was more an off balance tito than a hurt tito... his face got mushed, tito tko'd him

 

What is insane is how people are so easily brainwashed by bogus commentating and statistics. It is boxing, hit and not be hit. Yeah Forrest was on his horse, while Mayorga swung wildy, and often missed. But Forrest was landing the harder shots, the cleaner shots, the crisper shots, and more shots, point blank period. So what Mayorga took Forrest's punches in that round. That gave Forrest that round as Mayorga didn't land much clean. Compu Box was ridiculous in this fight. After 4 rounds it said something like Mayorga had landed 40 something power shots. Mayorga hadn't landed more than 15 clean punches period, through 4 rounds. It was a total joke. It was a shame Forrest didn't realize he could hurt Mayorga to the body until late in the fight. He could have took out the trash had he focused on that sooner.
