Dirrell, ran, held, complained, and fell down on canvas, not a very good way to win a fight, that fight was not even close, Froch had him scared to death!!!
I ask this question every time the outcome of this fight is debated: how did the people who scored this fight for Froch score Klitchko/Peter I? Since when does coming forward, missing punches and only landing intentional shots to the back the head win you rounds? You don't win fights because your opponent is fighting scared if you're being outlanded.
I don't know if I'd say that he "dominated" Froch, but Dirrell won a clear majority of the rounds. The rounds that he won were also very easy to score. I don't give a **** if Froch was the aggressor. You can't give a round to a guy who isn't landing any clean shots. I don't even ****ing like Dirrell. I've never been able to take him seriously as a top level fighter since I saw him in there with Stevens. I just don't understand how anyone can score that fight for Froch. The guys who are adamant that Froch won never post scorecards. They just talk a bunch of **** about how Froch deserved to win because Dirrell is *****.
yet the same people as you have valuev winning against haye even though he barely landed a glove ? double standards much ?
Skin colour has nothing to do with it, what an absurd statement. Who are these "lot" may I ask? Examples?
This is funny. Based on some of the posts that you've made in the past, I'd say that you're one of the guys that he's referring to.
**** Dirrell. He spent the whole fight running, whining and complaining. You don't take someone's belt like that.
Really? How about you explain some of those posts and the fact my top 10 ATG list is almost souly black Americans. This should be good.
Dirrell is a coward plain and simple, not only did he prove it in the Froch fight (I was actually embarrassed for boxing when i watched it). He also proved it against AA and in not fighting his buddy Ward. Total waist of a talent.
but that's not how fights are scored. It's not based on overall impression or whether you were turned off by "antics". It's about scoring each round, independently and applying basic scoring criteria -- first and foremost, clean and effective punching. You don't say: "gee, Dirrell landed the better punches, but what an *******! I'll go ahead and score it for Froch because he seems like a nice man." That's not the way it works. But you know that. You're just suppressing this knowledge for some reason, perhaps national pride.
well this is funny. you being a Scot, you probably have never seen a non-white in your life. it's logical to think that you guys are racist over there, just like the Eastern Europeans are.
Pretty much how I saw it, except I think I had it 115-112 Froch with the point deduction. I don't get how anyone saw what Dirrell did as winning a fight. He made a fool of himself there.
