I had it 6-6 and Oscar Nicking it with the kd in the last round, However what the **** was Ike Quartay doing he just followed Oscar with a jab and the odd right hand in those Middle rounds Oscar didnt do **** yet he didnt take advantage of it if he had he woulda won the fight.
Thats one way to look at it. Another way is if he had tried to do more, he would've left himself open and Oscar would've hurt him or beat him. And maybe it didn't look like Oscar hadn't done much because Ike wasn't taking chances.
oscar should have won a lot of his fights,,hes had a career full of dodgy decisions mosley and maywethaer being 2 examples
Excatly what i said when i said Oscar wasnt doing ****, he was hurt in the 6th and for the next 3 rounds just followed Quartay around doing nothing Quartay was just jabbing and alot of them were blocked he shoulda put combinations together and tried to follow up on the success of the 6th round.
I thought Oscar was very lucky to get the decision. Quartey clearly won 6 rounds (2,5,6,7,8,9). Oscar clearly won 4 rounds (1,3,10 and 12 plus the KD) Rounds 4 and 11 were close. Any result between 114-113 for Oscar and 115-112 for Quartey would be OK, IMO.
