And I gotta say I am even more sure Floyd beats Pac 8-4, or 7-5 clearly. Pac looked good against Cotto, but Cotto has SO MANY flaws the Floyd doesn't. And Cotto was still very effective at times early. Also Cotto seemed to confuse Manny when he moved defensively from rounds 9-12. Mayweather does great work while going backwards. PBF looked amazing against Marquez (who was indeed overmatched) but the reflexes and precision were crystal clear to me. Pac did not look unbeatable and I am fairly sure that 12 rounds would be too short for Pac to get to Mayweather. 15 rounds...maybe. 12 rounds...no chance. Mayweather is too skilled and precise for Pac.

I think it would be a great fight to see, hopefully Pac puts the steroid rumors to rest and agrees to 14 day cuttoff.

That's what I think too...and Pacquiao gets cut up along the way...Floyd will get hit more then usual, but Pacquiao will be really easy to hit against mayweather...

If Cotto stayed calm and used his jab as he did in the first round he could have won that fight. As soon as Manny tagged him clean the red mist descended and he got torn appart.

I'm a Pacquiao fan but i agree that i don't see Pac winning on Mayweather too. FMJ is very very hard to outpoint. Having said that, Pac though underdog remains a risk to fight even for FMJ's level, his angle combinations can potentially connect.

    Easier said that done.

In boxing, gameplan changes when you start to get hit / hurt. From what i've heard after the fight, it's pacquiao's plan to measure the distance AND Cotto's power in the first round - effectively means giving away round 1.

pac has a big chance of winning against floyd. pac is a lefty. a straight punch will land somehow. floyds defense is effective against uppercuts and crosses but pacs punches are mostly straights and sure will land on floyds face. if u saw the fight with judah, judah is very effective with straights and DLH hooks arent.

Then there is no plausible explanation for Manny to rationalize his way out of taking random drug test, dunce.

well then, if PBF can beat PAC easily, then why these ridiculous demands?

we all know NSAC has been testing is sufficient for all the fights, if not; then we have a serious problem here not just between pac and pbf but all the boxing organizations and governing bodies involved.

    PBF is scared.

I agree. Boxing is alot about capitalising on mistakes and openings made by your opponent. Cotto gave Pac opportunities, one or two big ones aswell. Floyd rarely gives those big opportunities away.

Another thing not being mentioned too much is the arm length. Cotto is a short armed fighter, Floyd has a 5 inch reach on both Manny and Cotto. You don't give up a 5 inch reach advantage to a fighter as skilled as Mayweather, without having a rough night.

This is a thread for breaking down the actual fight, not the other bulls**t. There's a million other threads for you to love Manny in, leave this one for real boxing fans, thanks.

Floyd publicly stated that he wants to whip pacs punk ass and would allow s 14 day cuttoff. If he was scared, why wouldn't he just go along with everyone else who says the fight is dead? And anyway, this thread is about the actual fight and not testing nonsense.
