it's not always conditioning. it can be over-exuberance.
it can be a fine line to know when to try to nail a guy and when to wait.

Agreed! It wasn't poor conditioning. It was a combination of expanding a ton of energy in the first 2 rounds, taking a beating in the 3rd, and not have much defense against Pavlik's right hand.

Exactly. Maybe he was once a great trainer but you can lose your edge if you don't have the passion for it. I don't think he has that hunger anymore. I mean how can anyone forget the Marg/Cintron fight where after his fighter Cintron gets brutually KOed, he's back in the broadcast booth in a minute or two and smiling like nothing bad just happened? I mean you should be back in the locker room with your fighter. It's little things like this that tell me that he doesn't care.

What a great fight that was. Kelly will forever be my hero for thrashing two of my most hated fighters, loudmouth Miranda, and that FRAUD of a champion Jermain Taylor.

Long live the king, Kelly Pavlik! :happy :happy :yep

actually taylor deserves props for beating hopkins and being the man to beat him when he was champ. taylor's a solid fighter in all respects.

:nono Only fools who don't know how to score fights would give him those fights against Hopkins. Taylor's entire title reign started off on a lie.

But who cares, he's gone now and hoepfully he'll never reach that mountain top again. :yep

hopkins started slow but looked better later on.

taylor might not be remembered as a top class fighter but he will at least will be remembered as a dangerous second tier - at least.

don't label people "only fools" simply because that's your point of view by the way.

    it cheapens youer argument.

You are a FOOL because you basically gave rounds to Taylor for simply shadow boxing, because I didn't see him land jack****, especially in that first fight. If you don't think so you need to be schooled on the art of scoring fights. Sounds to me like guys like you and other Jermain fans have been taking scoring lessons from that clown Harold Lederman.
