I didn't think you thought that, I wrote a disclaimer saying that comment wasn't for you.:D

No one has walked right through Brook, not Porter, and not even GGG, Spence has a tendency to freeze up with hit at all, he did it with Van Heerden, Bundu and Lartey, can you imagine how many times he's going to be frozen in his tracks by Brook's superlative jab alone? Much less that vicious one two. How man uppercuts can Spence walk through while attempting his work to the body? I think Spence is the real deal as well, but at this point, he might be on Porter's level although not sure about that, like I said before, this is genuinely way too soon for him.

My bad It's 7am and I'm getting ready for work lol. I actually thought you edited it, but you actually did leave a disclaimer :risas3:.

Walk through is the wrong terminology. Spence's style isn't to walk through, he breaks you down. Brook will have his moment, that right hand will definitely land. He will have moments where he turns Spence and makes him miss wide and land a counter.
I'm not that afraid of Brook's uppercut, though he did hurt Porter and GGG with it. It's that right hand. If that right hand lands consistently it spells major trouble.

If spence tries to load vs. Brook his in big trouble. Brook will just beat him to the punch and his jab will never allow spence to get set.

If he tries to just walk forward he will eat uppercuts.

Very amused at all the "GGG ruined him", "If the injury didn't happen when would Brook...", "Something something drained" threads coming up.

Better man won on the night, lads. Move along :)

Thurman will beat Spence, probably knock him out. Porter should beat him as well. Spence is not the greatest welterweight in boxing history either. I was disappointed, he was not fast, got hit a lot.......

Spencer WAS exposed on Saturday. Kell was picking him off with ease and landing heavy hands on him, spencer knew his time was night unless he threw some desperate windmill type punches.

Unfortunately for boxing aficionados one of them connected robbing the superior boxer of his eyesight.

But make no mistake about it, before the injury spencer was being out boxed at every turn. It would have been, as I predicted, a very comfortable nights work.

I somewhat agree. But the thing is, I don't think he will have to worry much about someone like Brook for a while. So I wouldn't call it EXPOSED, as in, "Oh just be one of the most skilled boxers on the planet, then you can outbox him". What we saw is that at this stage, Spence can be outboxed.

Also he didn't throw windmill like punches. I think it was far from comfortable for brook, but I think he was enroute to a victory until he got hurt.

I certainly wasn't saying he was, but I did feel he likely had the edge in there and I think especially those listening to Sky commentary would have had a pretty exaggerated impression of how well Brook was doing. I had Brook up slightly by the 6th, from competitive rounds.

Imho Brook was fighting at a rate he couldn't sustain to keep Spence off him and Spence had invested some excellent body work on Brook in the earlier rounds and it all started to swing in a direction where Spence was fresh and Brook was starting to labour.

Make no mistake, Spence was taking over BEFORE the eye injury happened, which was a thing which clearly didn't happen because Spence was not landing shots. Spence had to work Brook down a bit and some of Brooks early success was partly off tactics I would have expected the ref to call him on (lots of pushing Spence's head down and almost headlocking at times). That was one of his most effective methods of neutralising Spence nd it's not even legal.

Log off excuse maker. Everytime a fighter you hate wins there's always an excuse you can never just give them their due and move on. You have some serious mental issues.
