I took my bias Glasses off, I scored it 7-2 6-3 for Lomachenko, the fight was a marvel, the amount of skill mixed with intensity was unprecedented.
Linares put in some incredible boxing all night but still managed to clearly lose every round (including the knockdown round), IMO.
For the record, I'm not saying I scored that round for Lomachenko, obviously I gave it to Linares 10-8 because of the KD, but I mean without that knockdown he would've lost the round.
Well there were 2 close rounds in there, I gave Linares 2 rounds on the 2nd watch, if not for the KD it would be 8-1... I can understand 3 rounds to linares but anything over is just blindness, Half or linares shots hit lomas arms and gloves
I was at the fight with a few Linares fans on my left, and a huge, rowdy Ukrainian contingent on my right. I myself was for Loma, but did and still do respect Linares. It was an incredible experience and a truly beautiful fight to have witnessed. I'd say 7-2 is a fair score, although I'd probably have put it 8-1 myself.
94-96 either way before the knockout is fine. The boxing was good, but I've seen better. Too bad neither man can punch though. It was frustrating watching half an hour of pitty pat.
I was roaring drunk by R4 and was still lucid enough to have it a Lomachenko shutout aside from the KD.
Yea that's a deal but it's truly baffling how such an easy fight to score can be so looked at different... Well maybe they're doing heroin then ?
