I have to say Maidana had a great start upto round 4 but after that he did nothing, floyd looked like crap but he was landing all the clean shots and chino had virtually no success from that point on I dont know what was up with floyd he didnt look like himself at all I would have to see what he is like in his next fight before im convinced father time has caught up with him.Props to chino for making it competitive for the first half of the fight tho
that style is tough for any fighter who picks his shots and controls the tempo. Thomas Hearns fought a guy named Juan Roldan once if people remember. Roldan swarmed him and Tommy was hit more than he was ever hit even by great fighters. But Hearns started to hit him in about round 3 and 4 when Roldan slowed down, and Tommy won by knockout via bodypunches. And where was Roldan from? Argentina like Maidana.
yea thats kinda how it went maidana lost all his steam and floyd started picking him off people can say if maidana didnt tire he could have won but on the flip side you could say if floyd had more power he would have stopped him..its all if's and buts
haha fair enough it was a fight of 2 halfs for sure but chino did alot less in rds 6-12 than floyd did in 1-5 which is where floyd edged it overall for me
Completely agree. Thats why i had it 7-5 floyd. im no fan of his but he won that fight. maidana did exactly what i expect of him and thats show up to fight. i will say this if im floyd i wouldnt hurry into a rematch. this was a tough fight and floyd took some punishment and at his age fighting a guy like maidana takes its toll. i wonder what broner thought of the fight. im sure he expected big bro to go in there and wipe the floor with maidana but to his surprise his brother got roughed up too. for the record we will never see a rematch between broner and maidana as it would likely result in a unanimous murder within 3 rounds. maidana looked better tonight than he did vs broner even in a loss.
he gassed as expected, like he always does. madona kept rushing him thats why pedjr wasnt able to find his offensive rhythm. pedlr only looks good if you stay in the center of the ring flat footed. rush him and he gets on his defensive shell and looks for the ropes. this is where cotto had the most success against pedjr but wasnt able to sustain it. easy decision for pac. pac is naturally offensive fighter, with speed and power and southpaw. pac is gonna blitz this bum and pedjr wont know what hit him. no featherfisted will beat pac, never.:good
you are right pac would blitz floyd that fought tonight but i know you are thinking of old school pac. he has changed an awful lot lately.. the reckless pac from KTFO6 would have prob beaten mayweather tonight atleast if they both fought eachother now it would be an interesting fight as before tonight i thought floyd would honestly win 10 rounds over manny easily
