I think Kovalev sets up his punches better and has better Technique than the akward Froch.
Kovalev has also beaten some good competition at 175. I don't rank Cleverly that high, but it's still a good win. He beat Pascal, Hopkins, campillo, and Chilemba.

I really like Kovalev and give him loads of credit cause he's earned it, more than what I can say for another certain fighter. But Kovalev is proven and imo while he's not the lineal champion I think he's the best at 175, and when Ward beats him, he'll be the best P4P fighter on the planet!

The only one of those past Koavlev fights that matter against a great fighter like Ward is, Chilemba, who has a style that is close to Ward's, but far, far less.
IMHO, that was the only time Koavlev has been in the ring with a fighter without a handicap.
Pascal can't box. Campillo is a B-level Geale-like opponent, and BHOP was as old as dirt. None of them match the level of competition that Ward has faced and defeated.
IMHO, Kovalev is at this point in time the second best at LHW, behind Stevenson.
Once Ward defeats Kovalev, perhaps the Kovalev - Stevenson fight can be made in 2017.

I don't think Ward is the same guy that beat Froch. When a fighter comes back after a long layoff their skills diminish and at times never return to that same level. Ward has also never fought a top fighter at 175 which is going to be a big factor. Kovalev is also a great boxer and not just a puncher. His power is just so devastating that people neglect his boxing skill. Ward is in for a very tough fight that I don't think he will be able to handle.

"Plotter"? What exactly was he plotting? I think the word you were looking for is plodder. If you think Kovalev is also a PLODDER then I have no clue what you are seeing.

After watching several of their fights I can see ward getting a decision. I can see Kovalev winning a decision as well. Kovalev is a stalker. Ward is going to have to tie Kovalev up all of the time to win, he will not be able to stand at a distance and box. fight in spurts and hold

Those scores of Froch/Ward were an abomination. There was no doubt on who won the fight so much that I never checked the scores. It was a whitewash by Ward in reality. I expect the same for Kovalev/Ward. Judges can try to rob Ward all they want but it won't be enough. People are going to be shitting on Kovalev hard after this fight after he gets exposed by Ward.

Man, I can't wait to see the right uppercut/left hook inside combinations Ward lands on Kovalev. Kovalev's head is going to look like a Peez dispenser.
Kovalev has zero inside game and I don't believe he can't match Ward on the outside either.

Relative to Ward and Froch, Kovalev ain't never fought nobody!
But to be fair, he's still ahead of Bumnady.

Yeah, plodder! And the way I mean it, is that Kovalev doesn't box off his back foot, the same as Froch. They're both come foward type of fighters who play the role of the aggressor. I think Ward is going to be the mover in this case and utilize the entire ring while Kovalev will be chasing trying to get the knockout. I HIGHLY doubt we see the roles reversed for this one.

Yep, Kovalev has cement feet and is sort of a plodder. Plus, relative to Ward, he is dirt slow.
Ward will move and outbox Kov and Kov will be reduced to trying to get a KO.

You people have no clue what you are watching. Kovalev has better footwork than Ward and will have no trouble getting into position so he can land punches. Exercising this slow/plodder narrative is lazy and uneducated and shows more of a wishful thinking approach to this fight than an actual ability to recognize what will happen.

Yeah, he moves around just the same as Canelo, yet Canelo is the plodder! :risas3::risas3::risas3:

Show me a fight where Kovalev is Moving and boxing off the back foot.
