Danny was taking such a beating but he carried on for as long as he could, true warrior he is... Was just wondering is any one actually gave Williams a chance in this fight? Shame to see Danny is still fighting. He is such a lovely bloke and a fanrastic fighter just wish he would finally hang up his gloves.
I remember watching this thinking Danny had a chance. His confidence was high after the Tyson victory and he was training hard like a demon. That coupled with him being British, and I was sold. Danny took a hell of a beating and should've been pulled. I watched that with Big Joe Egan in his Pub in Digbeth, Birmingham. He thought Williams would do it after the Tyson fight too !
Yeah Danny used to go all out on training..remember seeing him around Brixton pushing motors around as part of his training, guy was a beast. I remember wanting Danny to win this fight so much and yes i gave him a chance too...Klitschko was just on a different level.
He had a heart alright. The Mark Potter fight was another example.I agree about the fact he's still fighting. The bloke needs to stop now.
Danny Williams was a great fighter. Though he didn't win a world title or challenge for it multiple times, he was in decent fights and always fought with heart. Just a shame that he has a loss to Audley in the rematch.
That was before Williams was COMPLETELY shot. He actually gave Charr some problems. Was 50-100 fighter then. Now he's not even top 200. Sad.
