I guess Broner should put bricks on his gloves?

Always thought he carried McGregor to be honest. But your probably right that he's going downhill recently. Still an easy win for him though.

There was certainly an element of that, but his timing appeared quite degraded when he did look to put his foot down and start going through the gears. Got the job done, of course, but that was McGregor, a non-boxer.

Doesn't matter if McGregor is a non boxer because Floyd didn't box at all. He walked him down in straight lines with a high guard throwing one shot at a time to make sure fans had a good time. Imagine the crowds reaction if Floyd treated him with any respect and boxed and moved for an easy 12 round decision. The whole thing was a joke absolutely nothing can be learned about either guy watching it.

Point I was making is, what Floyd did got 'er done against a slob. It wouldn't cut nearly as much mustard against good comp. He's walked guys down behind a high guard with singles and 2's before and looked much better than that. The timing was quite a ways out. Age can be defied, but much less so after long durations of inactivity.

It wouldn't cut the mustard against a fighter he respects which is exactly why he never fights that way. Connors not slob he's a world class atheletes who had an easy 30 pounds over him and 10+ years younger. I don't have any clue of what fight you are referring to him walking guys down in straight lines like Rocky Marciano. Tell me how you assessed a fighters timing being off when he fought nothing like he normally does in legit title fight and clearly didn't train for it

If it happens. I'm going Broner by savage KO.

Complete redemption for all his pee poor performances, his attitude, his outside the ring problems and finally fulfilling his touted potential.

Mayweathers memory and legacy absolutely flatlined by AB.. it would be hilarious.

    ITS WRITTEN IN THE STARS.

He looked like Marciano, swarming out of a crouch and throwing phantom overheads? Come on, he looked like Floyd looks when Floyd picks his offense up and stalks behind a high guard (which he's done numerous times in his career), except he wasn't as sharp at it as he used to be.

He's not Superman. Inactivity at his age leads to deterioration. You use it or lose it. If he makes a comeback, rolls back the clock and looks a million dollars, I'll give him all the credit in the world. But 'til then, I'll expect to see a clearly degraded version if/when he comes back.

Sugar Shane. Zabdiel and Ortiz are actually more analogous, though, since it's a method he tends to employ more against southpaws. There's three right off the top of my head.

Ok. You just proved to me you don't know what you are watching if you think there is any comparison to the way Floyd fought Mosley Judah and oritz and the way he fought McGregor. There's literally no comparison whatsoever. He clearly respected those guys as fighters and fought like it

Stylistically/methodologically, they are very analogous performances, there's plenty to compare. Difference is, he was over the hill in 2017, so he's much less sharp, respect or no respect. It's odd that you seem to take offence at the suggestion that a man of 43 years might not return from years of inactivity and perform at the level he demonstrated at the age of 29-33. But, if you believe he'll return in that kind of form, do you. As I said, I'll give him all the credit in the world if he does.

I don't take offense. There's just no comparison at all. None. I don't know a single person who knew boxing and thought they were learning anything about Mayweather watching that event. He rolled out of bed and fought McGregor like he was training a 15 year old for the junior golden gloves
