Well, I disagree, as we are both entitled to do. You say I'm boxing illiterate, I say I suspect the reason you see no comparison is that you're looking back at those prime bouts and getting caught up in the sight of a man at or near the peak of his powers, able to pull the trigger with uncanny coordinative quickness, instead of looking at what he's doing (or trying to do, in the case of the 2017 bout).

I trust my eyes as much as I assume you trust yours, and my eye test says he's degraded. He came to that sideshow bout in decent enough shape for me to feel comfortable judging his overall state of preservation — there are certain things one might be able to discern even if he were toying with a literal roadsweeper.

I don't request that you agree with me, but you might respect a difference of opinion. A small thing to ask.

If your eye test tells you Mayweather fought Mosley in a similar manner that he fought McGregor I don't know what to tell you. Obviously we can presume he's degraded as he's 43. The McGregor fight still proved nothing as he clearly didn't train for it
