Just saw Castillo/Corrales 1 for the first time.

    I'm man enough to admit that I had teary eyes at the end of round 10. I can't believe what I've just seen. Both of them putting that fight on for our entertainment, it was non stop action from round 1 till the end. I thought the fight was mostly so revered because of round 10 alone, but every round could have won round of the year. Like I said, I can't believe what I've just seen, and it's hard to imagine any fight ever being close to it in terms of action and drama. Unbelievable.:scaredas:

    That was a fight where both men fought their hearts out.

    Honestly, I can't put it anywhere but number 1. Barrera/Mckinney was my pick for greatest fight ever, but Castillo/Corrales 1 is on a different planet to anything I've seen. Saying it's an awesome fight is an understatement.

    Please....the ending was farcical. If it wasn't the american who twice spat out his gumshield to avoid being ko'ed, everyone would be whining about the cheating for the next 20 years.

    My number one is still MAB-Morales 1. Morales-Pac 1 and 2 were also great.
    The thing that tainted the Castillo-Corrales fight for me was that Corrales cheated a bit towards the end. He spit the mouth piece out to buy some time and was allowed to recoop after being hurt. The stoppage was also questionable i would say.

    i wont argue with anyone that has that fight as the best fight theyve seen cause its a great,great fight i have it in my top 3 with my favourite being Barrera-Morales.
    but you cant go wrong with Corrales-Castillo.

    I can't agree. Corrales was deducted a point for doing it. The only way he could have won was a knockout, and he did it. The stoppage early? Castillo was done, he went limp, floppy, and corrales was hooking. When Corrales hooks, he doesnt stop. The fight was over. Done.

    Nothing could ruin the 9 rounds prior to 10 round, not even a spitting out of the mouthpeice.

    I won't argue but again, Barrera is my favourite fighter of all time, but even that fight isn't as good as this.

    Castillo one of my favs. Everytime he'd land a punch you just hear pop, pop, pop. Esp in their rematch, but the first one is a classic. :good

    nah but yeah great fight i DVR'd it last night when i saw it was on ESPN Classics. im waiting untill the POPo vs CHico :good
