yeah i know, shame on me for not having seen him up untill now. I saw him at the ams where he looked ordinary. But seems he has become an amazing boxer-puncher with amazing counter-punch ability. Or maybe he looks better than he is because of the b+ level opposition he has faced. That would mean he still is a but unproven, isn't he? Anyways, wow! Go Guzman with that smooth exciting style of yours!
Very good fighter, who just needs to up the competition in order to be classed a great fighter. He looks the package in my opinion; speed, power, footwork, chin, upper body/head movement etc. He is also great at dictating the pace of a fight to suit himself. The odd lazy spell appears to be creeping in in the last couple of fights, but nothing to suggest that he is deteriorating (against the likes of Barrios and Soto, if you find time to take a lazy spell then fair play to you).
pac and valero don't wan't any of him:yep i'd like to see him against jmm, the only fight meaningful for him at his division and yes shame on you:yep
He doesnt finish so well in that fight. See if you can see a copy of Guzman when he dismantles Agapito Sanchez. Absolute brillance, in fact most of his 122 fights he was damn brutal.
Nah man I think he is the real deal. He looked really good against both Barrios and Soto who are both tough opponents. **** leading into the Soto fight most people felt that Soto would beat Pacquiao.
I was less than convinced by his performance in the Barrios fight and thought he might have come to far up in weight. But he did look a lot better in the Soto fight against an arguebly better opponant.
Barrios is a tough customer for anyone. Don't forget he was ahead on the cards against Freitas before Freitas saved himself with a punch after the bell. What impressed me most about that fight is that Guzman was able to casually take Barrios's power shots like they were nothing.
