****ing hell did anyone see the first fight mauricio martinez?

the ko was so BRUTAL it was unreal.

martinez after gettgin flawed 2 times in the 1st and almost getting sparked mid rounds. he threw form a southpaw stanc e alead left and a ritgh hand and then slid to his right. the other guy was all over the plpace. so martinez follows him with a lead right cross while the guy was stricked across the ropes bollocked him differently. :scaredas: :scaredas: :scaredas: :barf :barf :barf :dead :dead :dead

prolly gonna be a dud thread this but ohmydays what a ko:dead

yep vantage_west, watched this many times over. exciting fight, had everything, plus a bit of attitude from martinez pushing other guy. recorded it so watched the big KO punch in slow-mo couple of times, and he was totally defenseless when hit on the ropes. That definitely did for him as he still had his feet under him which collapsed as soon as he was hit. Thought it was a brutal way for it to end though, but unfortunately for him he had enough awareness left {just} to grab the ropes and stop himself hitting the ground - that was his ultimate downfall! It was a legitimate shot from martinez as he hadn't touched the flloor but mickey Vann[y] was late as usual being close to the action.
This fight reminded me of another but this was between 2 british boxers Wayne Rigby (Manchester, England) L RSF 10 Michael Ayers (Tooting, England). brilliant fight, had similar drama, saved by the bell moment, and differs only in one of the most gentlemanly endings i've ever seen - you appreciate the sportsmanship in what is sometimes a sport with unneccesarily brutal conclusions.

will upload this fight if anyone knows how to upload a dvd file onto yout ube?

^ actually come to think of it i think michael ayers was on the undercard of this.

i havnt seen the rigby-ayers fight but i heard it's a closed room classic. ayers is a absolute legend aroudn my area. he came to figth in brentford just across my road. great little fighter just shy of world class

well if you know how to transfer from dvd, footage i recorded from tv, I'll upload it for you. he was a gutsy boxer with a good jab and a genuine manner about him - no malice in the fights I've seen him in, just professional through and through - he fought Rigby twice, would like to see that one, but this was his 4th defence of his title.
