Wow!  Few points: 1. Now we all see why Pac could not beat JMM definitively - that is a great fighter right there. There is absolutely no shame in drawing and disputably winning against JMM. 2. JMM seems to be nturally bigger than Diaz. He has bigger frame, taller. No doubt JMM can go as high as 140 and even 147 IMO. 3. Diaz stamina is seems to be the best in the sport today. I think JMM was breathing heavily around 7 or 8 rounds while Diaz just looks his normal self. I think Diaz' stamina is better than that of JMM or even Pac although Pac when he was younger may well keep up to that pace. 4. I am amazed at how Diaz seems relaxed in the fight. He did not mind taking JMM's punches - he just keeps coming forward. I would like to see him stay at 135 and perhaps fight guys like Guzman, Valero, Linares, etc. 5. If Pac gets by Hatton, Pac-JMM will be a huge huge fight at 140, which I can not wait to see, probably one of most highly anticipated fight of the recent era.
For me, Pac vs Marquez was fight of the year in 2008 and even though Marquez vs Vasquez was one of the best fights i've ever seen, Pac vs JMM II was even better. I swear i saw it like 5 times and even watched alot of it in slowmo. I just think that their combined level of ability in the same ring is something that comes along once a decade, if that! And to have that happen twice in two years would just be a blessing.
It was amazing, wasn't it? Can you believe that some people on this forum actually think that JMM got lucky in the 9th round? Crazy.
Fighters like Marquez comes along once every 20 years.. Technically, he's the best fighter on this earth right now. GUys like Pac are a notch or two below him.
Whose attitude stinks i've never seen Marquez disrespect a opponent apart from the obvious Manny insult, but you can understand why he's so annoyed with the top p4p going for someone else
he is good but not better than pac. has he moved from flyweight to welterweight. 7 divisions, has he fouight at welterweight. has he been as dominant as pac throughout his career. pleez he is second no way above pac.
he gets dropped 4 times by pac and he thinks he beat pac by wide decisionatsch pac beats a welterweight and gets dissed, marquez beats a lightweight he is king. great logic
Fighting in 7 weight division doesn't necessarily make him better.. A fighter who dominates one division for years like Hopkins can be seen as a more accomplished fighter than someone like pac. So what if pac did that? The only elite fighter who he beat close to their prime was Barrera and he got beat down by an aging Morales.. What he did at 147 was ok but we all know hoya was another old fighter who was weight drained. Marquez is on another level. Pac is somewhere down there below him.
