he has a point, you cannot convince him. it is a subjective opinion. telling anybody that they are not right just to prove your own point is bull****. many esbers think pac beat marquez and vice versa. period.
That's fair.. to add to that, being unbelievably skilled is greater than being a phsical specimen because it takes dedication and special instincts to aquire skills while the latter was just born that way..... Anyone can be born with a gift..
This is breaking news to me..... Last time I checked, Manny is 1-0-1 against Marquez... Imagine there was a 3 knockdown rule, would we even be talking about Marquez then~?? Manny's win over Oscar and David Diaz are big because this is a guy who started at 112.... And years later, he goes all the way to 147 and beats a multi weight champion.... David Diaz was suppose to be a test... I don't think nobody expected Manny to box the way he did and dominate like that...
You're crazy, almost all (there's always exceptions), Pinoys will never switch Pac for Marquez. I do find his mesmerizing artistry funny on how he lands, 2 feet high up in the air with his dives.
Divac, my friend, in a few months that I've been here, I have seen some good and few excellent posts from you. Certainly, you can argue well without distorting facts that makes you look silly like this one. The 2nd Pac-EM fight had to happen as a condition of the 1st fight. And even if there was no rematch "clause" the losing fighter who wanted revenge should be given credit rather than ridiculed. The Raheem fight was supposedly a tune-up for Morales to the rematch with Pac who fought Velasquez in the same card for his own tune-up fight. Morales lost his tune-up and Pac won his but their rematch had to happen as stipulated in the contract of the first fight more than for Pac to avenge his defeat to Morales. The 3rd fight of course broke the deadlock that resulted from the 2nd fight. Mab didn't lose wide vs JMM. It was a highly competitive fight with Marquez getting a split decision while many thought that MAB won. MAB actually decked JMM but the ref did not score the KD and worse, the same ref deducted a point from Barrera in the same round. In effect a would be 10-8 round for Barrera turned into a 10-8 rd for Marquez so arguably, MAB could've won that fight. Pac did not choose a MAB rematch by himself. I could recall that he wanted a JMM rematch but before negotiation could proceed, Barrera demanded a rematch with him ahead of JMM saying he wanted Pac as his farewell fight and both GBP and TR obliged. True, Oscar came off losing 4 of his 6 fights before facing Pac and it was such another genius way of putting down the true ability of a fighter. How about adding that Oscar came from close SD lost to a P4P#1 fighter and a dominating win over a talented former LW champ at 150 lbs. These, I think, give a clearer picture of Oscar's current level of competitiveness but obviously, all you need is a picture of a bum or shot Oscar to suit your line of argument, right? Come on Divac, you can be more objective than that. For heaven's sake, stop acting silly like us *******s just to defend the greatness of your idol. JMM is a magnificent fighter, you don't need to put down Pac and his great achievement in order to hype the merits of Marquez! :yep
Glad to hear that you're admitting to being a *******! .....there you have it Pac fans, one of your own calling you all *******s!:deal The reality Kalunya is that I rarely come in this forum harping on Pac's resume of past prime fighters...... I was only responding to your posts that its JMM who has faced more past prime or old fighter.... ....when I took a look at that, I just had to respond! .....and believe me Kalunya, you mention that I should'nt come down to the ******* level...... ....believe me, I'm so far off from really getting down and dirty and taking it to that level of *******edness..... .....I got so much more nastiness in me that I could really bring out, but I refrain out of respect for Pac the fighter. I've always said I considered Pac a great fighter....in fact I've written some post on his side and praising his attributes.... .....of course, to the *******s, its only the posts that dont view Pac as a God that they respond to.:yep:hi: :good
Yeah, I feel proud to be called a ******* and I've made known my reason here for such. No, I didn't call all Pac fans *******s, where did you get that? You're distorting even my words. "Us *******s" refers only to the Pac fans who are proud to be called *******! Yes, you only responded to my posts that it's JMM who has faced more old and past prime fighters and you did it by distorting facts to suit your argument, Great! I knew you consider Pac as a great fighter that's why I said you could be more objective than the way you had responded to my posts, but you're insinuation that *******s view Pac as god is far from the truth and simply a product of your distorted view. Hopefully, I can read again more of those good and excellent views that you used to post here.:good
Oh no......go back and read, there is nothing there distorted. Everything I wrote was factual...... ....of course, the onlly thing I left out was that just because a fighter is coming off a loss, does it mean that the performance was not great...... .....example, in those fights, though that was not the same Erik Morales, Pac became the first to stop him. Not a feat just any fightetr could have accomplished..... ....and things in a performance like that..... No question abou it...just because a fighter beats up on an aging past prime fighter, does it mean that the fighter he beat up was'nt still a good fighter. That goes for both Pac and JMM......certainly that was'nt a prime Casamayor that JMM defeated.....I had said that on this forum even before the fight had taken place......but just like Pac being the first to take out Morales, so to did JMM become the first to take out Casamayor. Both Pac and JMM should be given credit for those performances worthy of greatness, but so much of the forum is so occupied with trying to put one over the other..... ......I guess we're alll a little guilty of it.....I try to refrain as much as possible in bashing the other fighter, (Pac in this thread), but you know as well as I do that sometimes you keep browsing a thread and keep reading the same crap and people dissing the fighter you have great respect for......that its hard not to fall into the trap and give back a little of their own medicine. I'm not above playing the down and dirty game, that can be fun to at times......but believe me, whenever I sense that its getting out of hand and that the only way to get an upper hand on the debate is to totally disrespect the fighters and others opinions.....thats when I take a hike and leave the thread...... The end of it is that fighters like Marquez and Pac as fighters deserve the respect from all of us, and even though you might find me bashing the other side just a tad with those that annoy, believe me Manny Pacquiao has my full respect! I want all the ******* to know that. Nothing I say takes from the fact that Manny Pacquiao is great! Hows that for getting back at the exellent post column!
On paper, yes, but boxrec records isn't always accurate.. We all know that. RObberies happen all the time but the real fans know the truth... WE have our own black books...:deal Oh puhlease that " 112 " card is getting real old now.. u guys played it out.. Like u guys always say, Pacman was a " malnurished " teenager when he was at 112 so obviously his body wasn't fully developed yet.. That was years and years ago but now that he's an adult with a man's body, he's filled into his normal weight division so dont bring up that 112 nonsense.... PAcman is a natural 135-140... Oh yes they did..... I for one expected Pacman to totally dominate Diaz and shut him out... This was not hard to predict bruh so dont make it seem as if pacman did something special... Picking on the weakest titleholder was kinda pathetic..
