Just saw it again properly, after the fight and the drama didn't do much watching of replays...having just seen it I find it hard to believe how much over the top discrediting of Pacquiao has taken place.

Looking just at the fight without the 3 KOs, Marquez was doing no schooling, and was far from outboxing Pacquiao. Manny won every round, round 4, the closest could have gone either way, the other 5 were all Pacquiao's.

The final KO? Pacquiao was actually standing on his left foot only with his right having tripped and was actually off the ground while he was falling forward - and some are saying there was zero luck involved in the KO? The punch, don't get me wrong, was thrown brilliantly - but if Pacquiao had both feet on the ground he would have swallowed it up as his right foot, his lead foot would have pushed him back and help limit the impact of the punch

Marquez definitely got lucky Pacquiao was so badly off balance, falling forward with 1 foot on the floor - I mean come on, most boxers would have KO'd Pacquiao with a punch in that situation.

Tactically though, the "boxing genius" of Marquez was struggling and had no answer to Pacquiao's movement before being given the KO on a plate

He hot knocked down in round 3. So didn't win that one. But agree was ahead on points. But that's boxing, he got punch happy and got caught with a good shot. As long as it doesn't effect him too much, he can come back.

If you re-read, I said discounting the 3 KOs...thought that was pretty clear what I was getting at. I was looking at the fight tactically

Marquez did the schooling in fight 3, and when the ****ers robbed him he decided to go for the the KTFO, which he did. Nobody deserved to knock Pacquiao out cold more than JMM, after all the **** decisions he decided to **** winning rounds, let's set the right hand up, and feed Pacquiao with it until he falls. Absolutely all-time great performance, and it's justified best.

Look, I'm still sad he lost like that but happy that JMM won, I think I'm more sad it could affect PAC in the future rather than him losing, but he lost, no matter what we say on how well he was doing (I thought he would stop JMM in the 6th) but its over bruv

While Marquez did seem to be having some issues. No way in hell did Manny win every round. I gave Marquez two before the KO of the year. Will rewatch it later and see what I see this time.

    :good

Before the fight, all Marquez kept saying was he was gonna knock him out, alot of us may have thought he was talking out of his ass, but it was clear as day since the first round that it was his intention the whole time.

Besides, JMM already outboxed Pacquiao three times before. :deal:

    Nah
Marquez said he was going for the ko plenty in the third fight too
In the third he tried alot of the same stuff(almost exclusive bodyshots in the first 3) and he tried to land that hailmary that put Pacquiao to sleep a couple of times too.
The gameplan was the same since the third fight, this time a more aggressive Pacquiao just aided in it's succession

I don't know how you can give Marquez more than round 4 - it's pure bias. Every other round was clear, Pacquiao landed more in every round (including 4), his accuracy was much better in every round , his movement and ring generalship was superior....

The haters have come out of the woodwork - I gave Marquez III by 115-113 - I look at it objectively, I don't score it by giving 1 counter punch from Marquez the same credit as 2-3 clean punches from Pacquiao

Only fight Marquez won was III - he got lucky with the draw in fight 1 as well because of a stupid judge

Precisely!! LOL idiots thinking Marquez planned this all along - you can't plan for Pacquiao to be so silly he trips and falls forward with only his back leg on the ground :patsch

Never mind that JMM is FORTY and PEDcquiao is in his prime and looked the best he ever has according to *******s.

Round 1 was a very close round too, Marquez landed some good body shots in that round.

2 and 5 were clear Pac rounds no doubt about it, but thats it, that and 6 he was winning clearly until getting KTFO.
