Haha, I remember months ago when saying Oleg could beat Peter was unthinkable.

    true

If Peter can get his **** together, lose some weight, and do some serious training I still think he's got what it takes to be top-level

What ever happened to his chin? I have his fight against Klitschko and he was taking a **** load of flush shots and took them all until the last round when the hook wobbled him. He got wobbled a lot of times by McCline early on. I'm guessing the fight with Wlad ruined Peter.

It was crazy seeing him get dropped live. My brother, who lives in New York, got free tickets from his business so I flew out for the weekend. The first knockdown didn't seem too serious, but the other two were big knockdowns. He was wobbling all over the place. Pretty surprising considering all the big shots he took from Klitschko.

I thought Peter won about 8 or 9 rounds

well mccline did say he saw something in the klitschko fight, and obviously he was right.

wlad was hitting peter with straight punches 99% of the time and also mixed it up with lesser power to pace himself since he never got to rest against the ropes that night. but while some of the straight punches hurt peter, it was really the 2 left hooks wladimir landed in the fight which really hurt him.

round 1 peter was stunned by a left hook and he started ducking up and down to avoid follow up punches. and foreman noted that peter seemed hurt to him. i agree. then in the 12th round after being exhusted from all the punishment he took in the fight, another unexpected left hook nearly dropped him.

basically mccline saw that peter was weaker verses the shots which twist your head side to side or in the case of uppercuts, upwards. punching peters forehead, nose area is a waste of time since his thick neck, shoulders and head allow him to absorb rediculous power shots.

    but if unexpected hooks/uppercuts land....

if peter wants a rematch with wladimir i suspect klitchsko and steward will quickly agree what to do. and that is to jab peter to keep him out of range like previously, but rather than waste time with straight rights. replace them with lots of hooks and uppercuts in close. i doubt peter can take that for 12 rounds.

and let no one kid yas. peter was very fit for the klitscko fight. so i can't see how he can beat the improved wladimir in a rematch. but should make for a entertaining stoush regardless.

Agreed this happens to every fighter it called punched drunk , it the same with football players , after so many bumps on the head, fighter as well as football player are no longer able to take punishment to the head as they once did.

perfect example is Roy after laying on the Ropes taking shot after shot , you can pretty much KO him now by thumping him on the head with your index finger.

Peter is a fat lazy cun£. It is not that hard to beat him, he is the Nigerian version of Roman Greenberg.

    Quite possible, bullshitter.:D

Seriously though, one thing that should be noted is that McCline has pretty good power but often lacks aggression and stamina. He's a big ****ing dude at 6'6 250lbs with not much fat. He knocked Briggs down. Say what you will about Briggs, but in 10 years time no one has stopped him since Lewis hit him with a shitload of punches and even then he kept getting up. Don't think he has been knocked down ever since. Took quite a bit from Ibragimov as well, especially in the 7th or 9th. Jameel also knocked Brock down.
