Yup, instead of taking the fight for $8M plus PPV upside and finishing off his contract with Arum he chose to pay $750K just to get out of fighting Margo. He could have done whatever he wanted to afterwards so it's a pretty clear case of avoiding a fight in the eyes of most people.

I highly doubt Floyd got more than 8 million fighting Baldomir. He just wanted to bail out.

 

PBF would fight Margo the same way he fought Baldo fool. He would beat him with his superior movement, speed and counterpunching. Margo's workrate would drop because PBF wouldn't be there to be hit. Why can't you see this it's really not that complicated. Margo had a hard time finding a green Williams at first so you think he'll find PBF???:-( PBF's ring generalship is the best in boxing and depending on the situation he can do many things he can stay in the pocket, stick and move or pot shot. Margo is to slow of hand and foot to give PBF problems not to mention he's a dumb fighter, lacks an adequate jab and can't cut off a ring. Margo needs people who will stand in front of him to be successful and PBF won't give him that oppurtunity.:deal

That card made about $16 million.

If the purses are true then pbf got 8 mill and Baldomir got 1.6 mill. Then there is the undercard to pay and all other expenses. I doubt the promoter allowed himself to get short changed like that.

And yes it has been talked about many times before, and thats because many don't think it actually happened.
