Sorry can't find any figures ... I don't think they gave them to the press. I found only Kessler-Perdomo averaged 1.342.000

    1.3 million?

    I'm assuming that's Euro figures?

I'd be surprised if that was US.

im pro for the Super6, but it is a longterm tournament, how it is structured. Note this was pretty much an experimental tournament, fashioned after the soccer's World Cup tournament. Trying to hold an audience's attention for a period over 2yrs may seriously be pushing it, realistically.

What you're talking about is a single-elimination bracket system which should be considered if they're gonna try to do another tournament. Even with 6months rest between fights, this tournament can start to end in 1 year. Thats pretty realistic and sellable....

This is the circus Mayweather and his ******ed fanboys (which Iole most assuredly is) has created. No one gives a **** anymore that we have the best guys in the division (save one) actually fighting one another! Instead, it's all about the numbers and the ratings. Then he uses European competition as his rationale for a fight between two DOMESTIC fighters falling short of the ratings marks? Say what?

Ward and Dirrell's fights would generate more numbers if they decided to fight in some better markets for boxing like Vegas or NY. I bet either guy would draw bigger crowds in places like St Louis or Miami.

the super six tournament is the best thing to come along to boxing in a long time. I for one love the fact that out of this tournament(the winner) will probably be a hall of famer easily and maybe an ATG who knows what can happen.

I love the Super Six. It would be great if other divisions had a Super Six tourney. However, it wouldn't work and/or be succesful in any other division. A CW Super Six would work and might be a hit in Europe, but that's about it.

That sounds great, but it would never work. Any division that has multiple top level fighters with GBP or TR won't be able to have a Super Six. Do you really think Arum is going let JuanMa and Gamboa be in a situation where they would have to fight eachother or Caballero or John without him being able to dictate when it happens as well as the terms? Right now, one of Top Ranks main objectives is to carefully handpick opponents for JuanMa and Gamboa so that they can raise their profile in order to build towards a fight with eachother.

I like the S6 but the way to go is straight knock-out! 8 fighters starting would be great!
4 quarters, 2 semis 4 months later then the final 5 months later!

Basically these tournaments shouldn't be taking longer than a year.

The point should be to keep fighters active and in top form, too much recovery time in between makes for a worse fighter

I hate people who pile **** on the Super Six. Like the OP said, how else are we going to watch super fights and see titles change hands as quickly as they have done? You only need to watch an Ep of 360 to realise how much time, planning and then recovery goes into something like this, so get your arse up from behind that writing desk and try going out and training like the Pro's do. Give people what they want and you still get pricks like this.
