A point or two would have been justified. Not an automatic DQ unless Holy kept it up. It would have made it a much more entertaining fight as well had Holy not been allowed to grab so excessively.
Holyfield butts, but Tyson should've just let his fists to the talking, not his teeth. When he was furious in that third round he was actually doing quite well. But he was outmuscled on the inside and that infuriated him further.
Looking at what I saw in the film (obviously makes it look in Tyson's favour) those butts did serious damage... each time, opening up significant sized cuts above Tyson's eyes. Not surprised in the least a relative loose cannon like Tyson reacted how he did, after the ref reacted with such apathy. Surely you cant have that many accidental butts...
if you watch the post fight video Tyson admits he butted Evander as well, watch the head clash in the 5th round, Tyson caused that he jumped in with a crazy wide left hook and Holyfield got low and blocked the hook it was Tysons forehead that rammed into the side of Evanders head cleary Tyson was just as guilty as any. They were accidental~ Tyson is just bitter cus he got exposed, and the second fight pretty much sealed his fate, he lost millions being suspended that long I mean that fight pretty much ended his money making days
First and foremost, None of Holyfields headbutts are accidental. That said? Tyson was no saint in the ring either. Threw a lot of forearm shivers and he threw a **** LOAD of low blows against Razor Ruddock.
i thought mike explained why he bit him pretty well in the 'tyson' film. he should've never went to that extreme but like he said, he lost it. if holy were warned or even accidental butts acknowledged likely mike wouldn't have lost it and we the fans would've saw a great fight. shame all around b/c i think that suspension and the whole backlash really finished mike as being able to be a top contender and probably robbed the fans of some great late 90's mike performances (if he were active and not dealing with the cloud over him). obviously mike gets the lionshare of the blame, but not all of it
If you mean the one that hurt him in the 1st fight around round 7, ironically it was indeed Tyson who flew in head first on that occasion. Of course Holyfield saw it coming, resulting in Tyson coming off 2nd best.
