just sharing.. Mayweather vs Ortiz Recap

I think Floyd was winning, but Ortiz was roughing him up.

Ortiz seemed to be pacing himself better, while Mayweather exerted more energy in the opening 4 rounds than I've seen him do in a long time.

This would have been an interesting fight had it kept going.

 

Using your elbows isn't legal.

Mayweather ducking his head below Marquez's knee caps also isn't legal. Guy is dirty as they come.

The refs just allow it.

 

like i said in another thread,ortiz was in the fight when it got stopped by Cortez.It was Cortez that ruined the fight.Mayweather can do almost anything when Cortez is referee.He can use his elbow everytime they clinch.He can get away with hitting with his forearm and using his shoulder when they infight. So either Cortez don´t see whats going on,or if he sees it,he let Floyd continue doing it.It was the exact same thing in the hatton fight!!Watch it,please!!
Ortiz had a good chance in the fight when it ended...Had it been the other way around,Mayweather was taking a point away after using his elbow,and Ortiz knocking Mayweather out before the referee clearly said "ready? Box" he would have been disqualified right away!! Cortez is a Mayweather guy,Watch hatton again.He should NEVER be referee in a mayweather fight again.The stoppage is a discrace to the sport,and a rematch should be made right away.To sort things out...they could fight again in april/may...Without Cortez!!!!!

Very nice...his numbers also usually avg out more as the fight goes on...just cuz he lands at a lesser percentage through 4 rounds dont mean much..
