You can use your elbows to block a punch headed in that direction, like holding them to your sides.. Now raising your elbows, and pushing your elbows out to block shots is illegal.. Floyd is clearly using his elbows as weapons in every one of his fights.

 

Great video. Vic landed a lot more shots than I thought as slomo proved.
One thing I noticed too, was the look of frustration on Floyd's face. His expression was something I've never seen. Vic was getting to him, which I've said from right after the fight.

 

Yes, and in slomo I finally realized Floyd was elbowing Vic right before the headbutt.

Amazing how it's so easy to be persuaded by other people but once you actually see slomo showing you things you didn't realize, it's a whole different story.
Vic was in that fight, but I knew that before. I didn't realize he landed so many shots though.

Floyd was frustrated yet Ortiz was the one who was fouling the whole fight. Yea keep believing that.

 

Floyd was getting tagged with decent shots more from Ortiz in 4 rounds than anyone has done to him in years. Why do you think Floyd kept nodding and smiling. He did the same thing a couple times to Oscar when Oscar was scoring with good shots, and he did it half a dozen times to Ortiz inside 4 fukin rounds.
I'm not saying Ortiz wasn't frustrated, he probably was as he was so amped up and wanting to murder Floyd. But Floyd was uncomfortable, make no mistake.

 

I saw a lot of punches with ortiz's whole glove in Mayweathers face. lol

 

No self-respecting Floyd-fan or even a Boxing would even bother with this bull****. This is just a post from a Hater with WAY TOO MUCH time to create videos that any Boxing fan can see right through the AGENDA of Floyd-Hating. If this fool was any kind of Boxing Fan that has watched fights before (especially Floyd fights) he would know that the best quality of FMJ is stamina and conditioning. He is one the of best "Late-round" fighters in the sport and his accuracy gets better as the fight goes into the later rounds. But according to this fool, if Floyd connects at a 39% rate in the first 4 rounds of the Ortiz fight...this means he NO GOOD!

So Shane didn't hit him with some decent shots? I know your a fan of Ortiz but don't be ridiculous. Floyd was winning the fight pretty easy. Damn near every boxer said Floyd was handling Ortiz.

 

He may hate Floyd but he just showed Floyd elbowing Ortiz's jaw and attempting to a few times. That's something I didn't realize until now. I also didn't realize how many of those shots I didn't think land actually landed solid on Mayweathers face and temple.

Never mind the string of successful bodyshots Ortiz landed.

We wouldn't even have to bother with all of this **** if Floyd didn't suckerpunch his way to a win. In doing that, Floyd left fans with a TON of unanswered questions.

I gave the 2nd round to Ortiz. I even said to my girl during the fight that Ortiz was getting to him a lot more than I thought he was going too and Floyd was looking uncomfortable and expressions weren't showing his usual beaming confidence.
When you listen to all the BS after the fight, it's easy to get caught up in the hype. But when you actually watch closely, and see how many more times Oritz hit Floyd then previously thought, the kid was doing pretty damn good. But I remember texting a buddy sayin he was doing good. He was getting hit with some hard shots but he was OK and kept coming at Floyd. Make no mistake, there was a competitive fight in that ring and it was getting interesting.

I gave Ortiz no rounds. I thought the first could have went to Ortiz. Ive watched the fight 10 times. Floyd isn't real accurate at the start of his fights. He gets better as the fight goes on. Everyone looks "ok" at first. I didn't think Floyd was putting a Gatti performance on Ortiz but he was winning the fight pretty convincingly. Ortiz's eye was closing and imo if the fight would have continued, Ortiz would have been stopped. Rather by the ref or corner. You can't keep taking right hands all night like that.

 

You must have also noticed Ortiz getting closer and closer to Floyd. Ortiz's best rounds were 2 and 4. The fight was turning into a slugging match which isn't floyd's M.O but Ortiz's.
Yea, Floyd was winning. Yea, Floyd landed more clean shots. The question remains: Could Ortiz have landed one of his bombs on Floyd? We saw a hard right hand (best shot from Ortiz up to that point) hit Floyd right before Ortiz pinned him on the ropes and then headbutted him.
