how bout cotto running away like *****, and oscar qutting on his stool?.. is that how they fight too for years?:blurp
I agree w/ the TS. Pacquiao showed to everyone how great he is when he pummelled heavier boxers to submission.
:rofl tell me, when has pac on a boring fight??? saying those things, specially coming from a floydette...wow, i mean just WOW.....im speechless stupid ****!!!:rofl
The non-sequiturs of Mongofloyd's fans is, as usual, mind-numbing. The TS made a valid observation, and the Mongofloyd squad (except for eze who made a spirited and sensible effort in a losing debate), had gotten their panties all twisted up with points like "bird-shitting" and "nuthuggery," etc., without offering up something with a semblance of sanity to the thread. How pathetic can a fanboy get. Sidenote: Margocheato threw an amazing all-time high record of 1675 punches against Clottey as opposed to Pac's 1,200+. Yet the bigger, prolly plastered Margo never was able to dominate and make Clottey cower like a turtle for the whole 12 rds the way Pac did. How would you interprete that simple little FACT is up to you.
Cotto running away was even more surreal...I mean just that image of that big, tank-like guy literally dancing away around the ring in the late rounds, while this tiny Pacman is stalking him relentlessly...was really strange to see. Pac is a little beast. Would love to see Floyd try and tame that level of energy, speed and power. If he thought Hatton 'kept on coming' I have to wonder what he would make of Pac, who makes Hatton look like he's boxing in cement. I would still bet on Floyd to win, just because he's such a gifted and ring-smart boxer, but I'm just fascinated to see how he would deal with a walking tempest like Pac. Those combinations would give him hell.
Excellent thread. Appreciate him now people because when he's gone you will be crying to have someone as explosive, exciting, special and willing to fight everyone and one like this might not come for a long time if not ever.
What Cotto did by moving was a display of his ability to switch styles in the ring when in danger and can play defensive, that's a great thing and definitely doesn't deserve to be called a *****. Hatton sure as hell couldn't adapt like that and you saw how that ended. Even when adapting wasn't good enough for Cotto he at least kept giving the public all he could offer till the very end despite the knockdowns and serious cuts he suffered.
I think eze's point is that Clottey always fought like that (blocking punches every time the opponent throws). Manny just happened to be too fast for him to counter punch. Margarito throws a lot of punches, too, but that doesn't mean he's fast.
