I read the front page article talking about a potential Deyonte Wilder vs Malik Scot fight. Anyone know of any truth to this? And if so who you guys think wins?
    I'm thinking Scott via decision

a baby step that looks better than it is, put it this way, if Scott didn't have that loss to Chisora where he looked fragile as ****, this fight would not be happening

Even with the Chisora loss hes far better than who he's been fighting

That's true, but the way he went down against Chisora and pretty much accepted defeat was worrying, Wilder is going to find Scott at some stage and I'm thinking Scott may wilt again, he has a sparring partner mentality it seems to me

Looks good on paper but t's not a big risk for Wilder at all IMO, I can see Wilder windmilling Scott into a corner ala Audley Harrison

One of the best step up fights for a doubting team Wilder would be Chisora. That I think would be a great fight and will most definately answer some Q's over Wilder. That is one fight I'd love to see..but methinks Team Wilder are a bit scared of an agressive come forward swinging for the trees fighter that is durable...as Chisora has proved he is.

Scott is not a bad fighter , but he can't punch , so it's not a bad step up fight for Wilder.

This is a good fight didnt expect it to happen
Im not sure about Wilder's chin and sometimes Malik throws some wild punches if one lands Wilder isnt taking it

Its a big step up Scott was holding his own until the weird stoppage, plus in no way will Scott make Wilder look good because hes so awkward, risky move but I still think Wilder can catch him

Will this be for the regular WBA title? Scott isn't in the top 15.

The WBA rankings are an embarrassment.

    Chagaev at 6

Ustinov at 7 coming off a loss to a guy from the 90s.

Chisora at 13 below Pudar who he just knocked.

At the end of the day, it says a lot when a guy who is nearly 30, has had 30 bouts, is being hailed as the next great heavyweight and is rated in the top 5 by a lot of people is finally stepping up by facing a guy who was stopped in 5 by a top 15 contender.

No offence to Malick Scott he's skilled but I don't really want to get on the Wilder hype train until he's beaten a guy like this in impressive fashion and then beaten a guy like Chisora or Helenius in impressive fashion, then he will have earned a title shot but there would still be 5 or 6 guys who were more worthy.

Hopefully not, but with the WBA, anything is possible. They make up the rules as they go along.
    Ustinov defeated Tua easily.
    Chisora never fought Pudar. :-(

But its common sense what they are doing, they are waiting for any world title shot that isnt the Klits, I expected someone worse than Scott whilst they waited for the Arreola/Stiverne winner

Its so clear what they are doing its just if the fighting bad opposition comes back to haunt him when he gets into a real tough fight
