Owens never competed in the Olympics in Munich 1974 though. That was Berlin in 1936. ;)

You obviously don't know ANYTHING about boxing. Go and watch SRL completely **** up the Mayweather-defense against Floyd Sr, and don't even start about SRR, he'd **** people up.

How many people were competing in the welterweight/middleweight ranks in the '50s and '40s, and how many are competing today?

And don't tell me it doesn't matter, the more people the harder to be and STAY on top.

robinson is just too big and his hands were not slow and while his foot movement is no were close to mayweather or pac it was good and the guy was tough as nails

Cant see a flyweight and a superfeather wieght starter beating a guy that big

its like putting pac and mayweather in there with Martinez sure they can pull it off but are you surprised if they both get slept?

boxing is a pound for pound sport

what you think all the catchweights are for? its to hard to compete at another mans weight class

Junior aint fought no SRL though, he's not fought someone who won't stop throwing. On your arms, on your shoulders, on your chest, and inevitably in your face. People want to stay cute against Floyd, well.. put him in there with a stronger, bigger and faster guy in SRL and Ray will keep on throwing till Floyd falls apart, mentally and physically.

There are "scientific" boxers, but there are so many intangibles, Julian Jackson didn't look like much but he'd put anyones lights out if he hit them, SRL didn't look like much but he'd **** your world up in no time.

Boxing is the supreme stone-scissor-bag game.

What type of record do you think SRR would've had had he fought in Floyd's shoes?

How do you think he'd do against the likes of Hatton,DLH (old 147lbs version), Cotto,Margarito and Clottey? Had he fought at 147+ instead of Pacquiao?

You can't measure a guys willpower and determination, but you can measure his length, his arm length and his weight, but you'd be making a mistake against someone like Joe Frazier or Rocky Marciano.

Imagine what Ray Robinson would to do a headcase like Zab Judah. Now that **** would be funny. He'd get raped by that right cross, mouthpiece flying into the stands

    01. I was responding the OP.
    02. Robinson's footwork was far, far, far superior to other Mayweather's or Pacquiao's.
    03. It's debatable whether Mayweather or Pacquiao are ATG welterweights. It largely depends on how far your list extends before you go from 'ATG' to 'very good'.
    04. Robinson was also an all-time great welterweight. The fact he was able to establish himself as a top 5 MW of all-time is a mark merely of his amazing ability rather than sheer size. He did not start at 160, and arguably hit world level at 135.
