ok jeff harding thread, ok, when mundine gets iced cold by a feather fisted german he comes back with avengence and wins three world titles, harding on the other hand is struggling down some abandoned street pathway looking for his keys, it shows the difference of character between both men :good

Never had the fortune or some may say misfortune to meet the bloke ,,, but i do know of a few who were at a function where he was brought in has a guest and paid to do it and he allegedly just got pissed and started to abuse the guest looking for someone to beat on .

Heard another story of a guy in a hotel picking on some old bloke , so this mate of a mate apparantly defends the old bloke , and lands a big one knocking out cold the bully who according to the story is ,, GUESS WHO ,, its a fact your punch resitence goes with age , but proably even quicker weith excessive ****. Like i said they are only stories i've been told .

But the one i was not told i seen with my own eyes , was Lester Elliss pissed has a fart , taking the **** out of a fans voice , (it was a bit squeeky ), the poor guy was in a quandry , you could see he wanted to stick up for himself , but the **** take, and the go on i dare ya look, from a drunk ex world champ , did'nt inspire confidence ,, Anyway Ellis staggered off and went to the other side of the room where he carried on making a **** of himself ,

Will say , for all the **** Fenech cops , i actually sat at the next table and watched that guy sign probably 2 dozen autographs and stand up for a dozen photos , all while he was trying to eat his facking breakfast ,,

Theres a reason why he was so popular besides boxing skills he was polite to fans , most of the time anyway.

comparing mundine and harding, a real boxing champ to a interim champ ?? no contest!!! good to see him on the right track, lots of champs go thru some hard times when its all over, but always good to hear when somebody has been to the bottom of the pile and had the courage to get back up

Actually Jeff featured in the final of the Contender carried the bell in. Mundine obviously respects him regardless of his alcoholism mate.:good

Harding became something of a forgotten hero and his antics probably had something to do with it. I just read Johnny Lewis' auto and Jeff gets quite a mention. Maybe he would have been better off staying with Lewis

I hope his old adversary Dennis Andries has also sorted himself out. He went the way of Jeff some years ago and they both deserve better

After he left Lewis, he had a pretty caring & capable crew in Manny Hinton amongst others, i think he would have went off the rails no matter what
