He got paid £250m for a 6 fight contract yeah?

    Floyd averages £30m - £50m a fight right?

Does he keep all that cash? Or am i missing something?
After his contract is up, he will have earnt roughly £430m for 6 fights (That being £30m a fight) Holy Sh*T!!!!!

The deal was 250M for 6 fights.. but that was the minimum he would earn, he still had upside so the money he could make is unlimited. fkn crazy i know

I think he only has 4 fights left. This contract was a smart business move by Floyd.

    30m x 6 = 180m
    430 / 6 = 71.67m per fight

    just saying...

After Arum is done with the math, Pac could ear a shocking $10 Mil tops for his last fight... thanks to the lackluster 450k PPV numbers :hey

So he gets the 250m for signing to 6 fights and he gets a large cut of all his ppv sales, gate sales etc. Thats mental. When he first signed i thought it meant that the 250m was all he was getting but its worse then i thought

Thanks for clarification. But I don't think that 250m is addition to what Floyd makes each fight. I believe that is the minimum guaranteed money he'll get paid. Looking at the success of his first two fights, he'll definitely will exceed that 250m guaranteed for six bouts.

no man, he wasn't able to rob them that much, close but little less probably

looks like you're thinking he got the 250m upfront and gets an additional 30+M per fight. nahh man..

the deal was 250M guaranteed, so they break it down and give him X amout guaranteed for each fight (not always evenly broken up), its dependent on opponent too and what the think the PPV will be and the gate.

but he also has upside on the ppv' merch and movie theaters take.
the dude, well, his team is brilliant business wise. floyds brilliant in the ring. perfect match.

whats funny is the "runner, scared fighter, no power man" is by far the most popular of any combat athlete.. Obviously he isn't boring at all. seems he is the opposite of boring.

And another sad thing is people are still claiming the ghost fight was a flop and cost SHO $$$, anyone that thinks anything other than everyone involved made bank of that is a MORON. sho came out and stated the fight was well Over 1M buys. no idea where some of u get 870k.

even if u wanna go with 870k, if thats a flop then floyd must be the most popular and loved athlete of all times..

He could of made 200 million in two fights with PAC. One in 2009 and a rematch in 2010. Each fight would of done more then 3 million in ppv sales.

The gate and pay per view were not on par as showtime and golden boy were hoping for, but guaranteed money to floyd was untouched. Sure, he got less in pay per view shares; but still vast amount of money.

No idea how Showtime can afford that sort of deal, must be taking a loss just to get Mayweather on board in hope to attract other boxers and someone take boxing from HBO.

To make a comparison, his fight with Guerrero did around 900k at $55, that equals roughly 50mil revenue. Now by the time Showtime pays for promotion, production costs, Mayweather 41mil, opponents and undercard purse, promoter(GBP), I don't see how they can make money. It dont add up. Typically the cable usually takes 40% of the profit, the promoter some and then some to fighter and every other cost.

In contrast fights like MAB-Morales drew 350k and they got paid around 4mil purse put together. The fighters purse takes up roughly 25% of PPV revenue, in Mayweather's case it takes up nearly 100% of PPV revenue meaning who else gets paid?

Of course if he does Canelo like numbers each time, then that would change things. However I don't think he can come close to that number again unless its a big fight such as Martinez or Pac next.

Why are you so negative about Floyd Jr? He is the biggest draw in boxing. It's only natural for him to command who he fight. I am sure you would do the same if you are in similar situation.

Ahhh i see. My bad. I thought that would be a bit stupid. So he makes £250m for 6 fights. If he draws enough sales from his fights where it generates more then his average pay for the contract then he earns his bonus. So for example, he earns on average £41m per fight from Showtime. However if he gets more PPV buys e.g the Canelo fight, then he earns a bonus of X amount. I get it. But how does Showtime make their money? Surely once everything has been subtracted then they have barely anything for themselves?
