Just to end that particular debate...

I don't suppose many people care now, but the debate was raging on Sunday, just thought I'd direct you to 2mins 47secs of this video, conclusive proof that Cotto was already on one knee before Margarito punched him.

I'm not saying he should've been disqualified, even though technically he could've been, but what I am saying is it was a failing of Kenny Bayless not to do anything about it.

It wouldn't have made a shred of difference to the result, Margarito was clearly the better man on the night, but rules are rules. Just thought I'd clear that up.

    This wasn't that bad.

Holt got hit by Torres after he had got up from being knocked down - and nothing was done about that - until he put Torres to sleep.

That was the job of the ref to get between them when Cotto took a knee. Usually when a guy takes a knee that is what happens anyways.

Just a second late for Bayless but nothing to be pissy over. He did a great job.

Yes, Bayless did a great job. I used to hate seeing Bayless show up, but I thought he did great in this one.

Floyd hit Chico on the back of the head when he was already down, should he have been disqualified? And Cotto on DeMarcus Corley? What about Marciano on Walcott? Oh please...

He did hit him when down but a DQ would be way way too harsh & anything else like taking a pt would mean zero as Cotto was ****ed up LONG before that punch landed & was 100% gonna get KTFO anyway, absolutely no question that Cotto was going down big time. Nothing could save him, Margarito was the tougher, stronger willed man & thats just about all there is to say except.....

    Cheers !

cotto was ducking and trying to keep his head down and low the whole fight. it would be close to impossible, for margo to tell, whether cotto once again was trying to get under his punches or taking a knee..

we are talking split seconds here..

Really? Bayless is one of the best refs in the biz.
