I hope that Peter just goes away. I see the Vitali victory as a house cleaning. Sam has marginal skill set at best and is really just a crude puncher who can't discipline himself enough or take his job serious enough to show up in shape. I agree that Peter will probably be a gate keeper for the remainder of his career which is fine....I've never thought he deserved marquee status.

 

that's not aa great comparison. wlad had a great skillset and top notch work ethic to rebuild from. more importantly, a willingness to change his style.

Peter is facing an uphill battle. luckily for him, after wlad and vitali, there is a big dropoff. Haye might be the perfect confidence builder for him. Id like to see him get a real strict trainer. he may or may not be finished. Depends how he reacts mentally really. that was a devastating loss; no other way to spin it. imo, worse than wlad's losses to brewster and sanders.

and very shortly, the klitschkos may have all the belts :happy :happy

 

jeez u and amb def have jumped ship completely. people are underestimating vitali. he is a great fighter and his style was terrible for peter, even worse than wlad's. vitali eats up aggressive fighters. haye fights very small, leans forward and has no guard. add in that glass jaw and he is far easier to connect against. watch the fragomeni and mormeck fights and u'll see what i see. slow fighters connecting on haye at will. these nimrods talking about speed and reflexes don't no jack****.

i still like peter's chances against much of the top 10 and Haye.

 

Thats a fair post, though Wlad's confidence level was extremely low after the Sanders and Brewster fights, even he admitted it during an HBO interview. I admit Peter doesnt have the skill set of Wlad, but his chin is **** load better, and just like Wlad, all it takes sometime is a good trainer to make you great, Steward was a perfect match for Wlad, he helped shade his weaknesses, behind the jab and clinch.

I think Peter would still put a hurting on a fighter like Haye, Peter's too big and strong for that undersized Heavyweight, if "The Hypemaker" got hit with one Peter overhand right, he would drop faster than Wlad's shorts at a gay bar.

Biggest question for Peter is from Peter himself. Does he still truly believe he can do it and does he want to do it. and when I say do it, he must fully commit to getting in shape.
