Haye is even a bigger question mark at hw than Peter is at this point. it's the truth... can Haye take a hw punch? can Haye maintain his speed adding 25-30 pounds? can Haye maintain his stamina at hw with that extra weight? can Haye learn not to lean forward and keep low? can Haye learn to keep his left hand up?
He made me look like a goddamn fool,,,, he quit like a coward.. I DID NOT, I had more faith in him than he did
He will always be my favorite fighter but I know what kind of fighter he is....terrible limited and will not be nothing more than A punchers chance type of fighter
It is true that he chose to go out the easy way. But he met his match, plain and simple.. Vitali is and will always be the better fighter and boxer. Peter realized he was not winning, he saved himself from an utter and complete career-ending night. He can go back to fighting b-level fighters again, if he stuck with it, he could've been in a coma right now. What Peter did was smart, he saved himself when his ****ing corner could not. Don't turn on him like that, he was a heavyweight champion of the world, thats something special.
That man I protected with such passion should have not quit,,come in terrible shape and gave the fans of his like me a fight not a onesided beatdown..he could have atleast showed some will in the fight
thread is six pages long and 40 and mr. magic haven't threatened to knock out each others teeth yet :yikes
that **** talking is like the build up to a fight,,, nothing harmful is meant by it.. just jabbering. I'm sure Mr.Magic is a cool dude in real life
He accepts defeat, and is willing to eat his crow. I am not kicking someone who is down :deal I don't like how he is turning on Sam though, Punisher33 was always the best Peter fan in my book:bbb
:good I'm a huge fan of Lamon's as well, what a heart that guy had. I was a fan ever since I seen him fight live in Pittsburgh in 2000, which was a loss against Eitenne. The guy wasnt blessed with the most skills, but damn can that guy take a punch, but even more so he had a hell of heart. I can still tell you every date he fought and who against, from 04 on. I still love the guy as a fighter, though I wish he would retire, the guy is going to sound worse than Toney in a couple years, that would be sad to see. Brewster never quit in that fight, Buddy asked him and Brewster didnt answer, he asked him again about pulling the plug and his fighter said something like "Ok Buddy". It wasnt like Brewster told him he's done once he got to the corner, Buddy put giving up in his mind, something you should never do as a good trainer. Brewster just wasnt ready for that fight, plain and simple.
People should realize that fighting a guy like vitali who is 6'8 and moves well is no easy task. You can blame peter all you want but vitali really is that good. he's never been down he's never lost on scorecards he's ko'd all but one of his victories and he was beating Lewis before the big cut.And lewis choose to retire rather then fight him again. His only 2 loses were to injury and a cut. Sam still has lot's of time to come back from this I wouldn't count him out yet.
Haye was undisputed at CW so he is already much better than the vast majority in todays HW scene, wether he can beat either Klitchco remains to be seen but the rest of these guys just aren't that good. Haye likely cuts 15+ lbs to make weight so he'll be fine at 215-230 on a 6'3 ft frame. Byrd was good despite being feather fisted and much smaller than Haye because of skill, aside from Wlad who today can box at HW? As for Peter I'm sorry but When a 6 ft HW shows up weighing 253+ in the biggest fight of his career that tells me he is not serious or professional enough to do what needs to be done, Peter is not willing to get in shape to win, he thinks he can win with out getting in shape. I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up at 265+ against Haye. At some pt you will pay for being fat, I don't think Peter has a chance against Haye with his current work ethic.
I've said for years that Klitschkos are good for boxing and people, even haters will come around when Wladimir keeps lining em up. There's no denying it after Povetkin and Haye gets it the hard way.
