Sure Oleg is old and slow now....but remember what he did to Rahman twice? The same will happen to egg chin Peters when he lands a big one. Peters will be installed about 1/4 favourite no doubt...look for the odds to be upset.
Yes there is a flipside to that coin Peter could land a BOMB as well on Oleg's chin and it's nite-nite, no way in hell am i betting on this one, and i don't give a damn how old Oleg is he's heavy handed and can whack..:deal
Maskaevs chin is far from granite but I do agree that after McCline, Peter looks far more beatable. Maskaev has far more experience and boxing ability then Peter and is more heavy handed than McCline. It may be a matter of who gets to who first.
While both there chins are a little questionable as of late, I do however see Peter being more prepared to fight against Maskaev. I think part of Peters problem was the fact that he wasnt prepared for a guy 6'6, he was ready for a guy much smaller at around 6'2.
Funny how everyone's giving Maskaev a really good chance now after watching the Peter/McCline fight. Where were all of these Maskaev supporters before? I think it should be a good fight though...no way I'd bet on it going the distance. Someone's getting knocked out and I consider it a 50/50 shot for both fighters. :good
I wouldn't write off Peter against Oleg. Sure, Peter got darn near KO'd by McCline, but Oleg isn't 6 foot 6 and 266 pounds. Plus, Oleg will be closing in on 39 when they fight with over a year of inactivity. Peter's chin isn't the only factor in this.
ReallY? Does anybody really believe Sam Peter has an egg chin? Okay, it's been cracked, he's been down; maybe his chin isn't quite as iron as was once suspected. But c'mon? Egg chin? Andrade went down recently too and I think we'd all agree his chin his pretty damn solid.
McCline also knocked down Byrd and nobody called him (Byrd) egg-chinned. The bottom line is that Maskaev has worse chin than Peter - and he is way too slow to protect it for 12 rounds.
