I didnt think he won the fight. i thought it was a clear and cut 7-5 maybe 8-4 for chris john. but in past fights rocky has been a slwo starter and didnt show us what hes really capable of since the 1st barrera fight he had. to me hes always been a fighter who didnt do enough. but on saturday he gave it all all 12 rounds. always agressive. trying to impose his will. just he was in there against a better fighter but never gave up and even seemed to have Chris John hurt towards the end. I just wanted to give him props for a hard fought fight. :good
I had the fight even. I think Rocky is a lazy fighter, and that's why he always loses the big fights. You can't just do enough when you are fighting for a title. Everybody is not going to lay down for you so fighters need to step up their game. Rocky never does this, and he's always playing catchup.
well i wouldnt say hes a lazy fighter..maybe just thnks too much and nervous. just doesnt let his hands go but i know what your saying. if its a title fight ****ing fight like its one.
I think the crowd gave him that extra boost he needed to make the fight competitive. I had it 8-4 for John
I agree. Don't know if its laziness or whatever but the fact remains-Juarez is always playing catch up and it hurts him. Unless he steps on the gas the entire 12 rounds then he'll always come up short in the big fights. I thought John won their fight 7-5.
I had it a draw... the biased commentating had a lot to do with the wide scores in John's favor. Neither man really seperated himself in there. That being said, I thought Rocky did a much better job pressing the issue than he has in previous fights, but even in this bout he could've come at John harder and opened up with more combos when in close. Rocky is just a victim to his own complacency. He's just not as aggressive as he should be for a short, attacking fighter.
i just feel john underachieved in that fight...he do not have the gas to continue dominating the fight
I was pleased to see Rocky almost pull it off in the last 2 rounds. It really was...well, Rocky-worthy.
