I had it 7-5 for the Viking Warrior, and was watching impartial because I like both guys.

They are a clear example to other boxers imo... They come to fight and give it their all.
I'm even one of the guys that favours Froch t beat Ward.

What? So I don't believe Froch will beat Ward?;)
I know what you mean, I'm in the minority.

I hate Froch as well. I have thought exactly the same way as the OP since I first saw the fight. Froch won 115-113 and it KILLS me that I think it. The fact that he clearly deserved to lose against Direll made me feel pretty good about it actually. If Froch was undefeated still... I can't imagine the **** he would be saying in interviews. Also, it thrills me that he lost to a past his prime version of a fighter that Calzaghe beat a prime version of. There was never ANY reason to think Froch could have beaten Calzaghe, and luckily the Kessler loss supports this thinking. Even if the judges had scored it 115-113 for Froch, there is no way he beats Calzaghe.

Froch fought the wrong fight and if he used his jab and was more active like he was against Abrahams, then he would have beaten Kessler. It could have gone either way imo but i guess Kessler did enough at home to get the decision. I can't see him beating Froch again as this time, Froch would be right on his game.

I wasn't a fan of Froch then and thought Kessler was going to KO him. But I had Kessler winning a close fight by a round or 2. Though Froch surprised me on how effective he was boxing from range with Kessler and I thought if he had been more active he could have won the fight.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch between Froch and Kessler as neither fighter really proved there dominance over the other, it would make a nice trilogy of fights if Froch can pull of a win next time, that is if they ever fight one another again.

A fight isn't scored by how the fighter's face looks after the action; Kessler landed a large amount of bodyshots throughout the night and edged most of the rounds imo. A lot of the fight was close, but Kessler took many of those rounds by just pressing the action when it counted. I thought he won quite clearly. Both fighters emerged with credit from the action.

I was there accompanied by an unbiased hardcore american fight fan from another board. He had it 7-5 Kessler while being generous to Froch in one of the rounds.

I had it 8-4 Kessler at the time. After rewatching on DVD I had it 7-5, but I could not and cannot see Froch having a case for the win. Maybe a draw at the very best, but never a win.

Anyway it was a great fight and I hope for a rematch. It would be fair if it was in Nottingham.

Neither had much precision, but were throwing wild punches all night. The difference was that Kessler avoided more than Froch.

Kessler won on all scorecards... and far majority of journalists as well.

Not much to argue about here.

But it was a close fight and neither man looked as good as they can. Kessler has since had his eyesight much improved it seems from his last fight. This may not necessarily be an advantage because it may mean he will fight less wildly if they meet again and perhaps wild is the way to fight Froch.

I scored it a draw. Could go either way. 8 rounds to Kessler? some of you need to seriously re-watch this fight imo.

I was watching the fight pulling for Froch but my reaction live was that Kessler had taken it by 2 or 3 rounds, he was more aggresive and took the sting out of Froch with some good bodywork. Granted Tilleman's card was a joke but Kessler deserved the nod.

Massive Froch fan but Froch lost the fight in a close but clear decision

After the fight before the decision was read out the best I couild give Carl was a draw.

Very good fight, bit sloppy but thought Kessler just did enough

Definately should be a rematch in America tho, Id back Froch
