    Good comments mate.

First time I saw it I had Kessler by 1 round, next time I had Kessler by 2. Either way it was a close fight that however was tipping Kessler's way.

i scored this fight for froch, i think that the partizan support for kessler influenced the judges in this fight. great fight though - 2 warriors putting everything on the line.

btw ray hogan, who the **** is that boz eyed tranny queen in your avatar?

This fight was close'ish but at the same time the winner was fairly easy to pick.

One thing that is strange is that Kessler hit Froch far more in this fight than Froch hit Dirrell.

So - some English fan's response is that... "yeah, but Froch created the fight.. he was the one pressing the issue against Dirrell... ". Well, in this fight Kessler hit Froch with more and cleaner punches AND was the one pressing the issue.

So, if Froch won this one (which he did not) then there certainly would be ZERO possibility that Froch could have beaten Dirrell based on those standard of judging a fight.

It was a very close fight but I have no problem with Kessler getting the nod. He probably did enough, especially considering that was first time I ever saw Froch fight mostly off the back foot.

On the other hand, it was so close I wouldn't have argued if Froch got the decision either.

Froch didn't throw his right hand enough in the middle rounds. It was a close fight. The first time I watched it, I had it for Froch but when I watched it again, I thought Kessler won.

In all honesty Froch kept himself in that round by purely keeping his offence going despite being hurt, he felt that punch for the rest of the round, i doubt he would have been KO'd but he could have been stopped on his feet if Kessler stepped on the gas and displayed his accuracy of old.

I had Kessler winning 115 - 113 or 116 - 112, cant remember exactly, that kind of score, loved the fight though, might score it again at some point.:good

This is a good thread you know, reasonable discussion.

It took a while for someone to mention this but Kessler's body work played a significant role in his victory. Froch admitted afterwards that the constant straight right hands to the body hurt him in an interview with fivelive. If you consider the jabs that naturally come before these shots they all tally up and can make a judges decision alot eaiser. Combine Kessler's come forward attidude with the somewhat lethargic effort Froch put in between rounds 5-8 where he was basically giving the rounds to Kessler I think you actually could argue Kessler won 8 rounds.

I had kessler winning 7-5 if I remember correctly, It was a great fight especially the last round but kessler edged it and won. That fight + the abraham schooling turned me from a froch hater to a fan.
