Water on the floor in the corners of a ring is a pretty common thing in boxing..I doubt the german corner did it on purpose. Dirrell did not just slip against Abraham, against Froch it happened a couple of times also, and in some of his other fights aswell...so he better keep his guard high next time it happens ;-)
You speak as if I didn't know that a wet floor was common LOL. It's so obvious it wasn't worth you mentioning much less myself. I do have a problem with them drenching the corner and that corner having been the corner that caused it. He slipped against froch because of the ruff house tactics. Trying to lean when froch would try to disengage from dirrell holding. He slipped against abraham on the move. When the fight was stopped in round 9 the abraham corner (and everyone else in the world) knew dirrell was gonna start moving. So they casually drenched that corner to get a footing advantage. I do agree that he should put his hands up anytime it happens. Protecting yourself at all times is somewhat taken for granted. Personally I don't like logos in the corners and feel that 3 by 3 feet in the fighting corners should have no logos. The neutral corners can have all the logos they want but the fighting corners should not have a logo.
To me it is not so much the fights that makes this show so great, you watch the fights live. But the stuff with the boxers hometowns and camp and family is truly amazing. And also the meetings with the promoters, im amazed that we get to see all that, it is so great. It makes boxing less shady. I think that much more like this would get many new boxingfans..
What type of conspiracy is this. It's farely simple thing to do as the fight plays out. Corners don't get DRENCHED by accident and it's usually the same situation as this when the are drenched. 1 guy losing to an elusive fighter late in the fight. Everytime, Next time you see a drenched corner, look at the fighters who are drenching. Not much of a conspiracy and more like a decision on the fly to help your chances.
Has nothing to do with germans obviously so stop making it about them. Many people have drenched corners to mess with opponents footwork.
Says who... you? Any examples? I don't see it... in particular because a) both of them could come undone by the water and b) it's almost impossible not to spill a bit of the water with all the refreshment fighters get. It just doesn't make sense and it's a further excuse to further crucify the villain Abraham. On top of that, it was the ad on the canvas that led to the fall (added by some water or not) and that add was there courtesy of Shaw, Dirrell's promoter. Really, stop making bull**** accusations with absolutely no whatsoever evidence.
