exactly why i didn't understand the comparision. But i got you now you have been more then clear. Do you think AA is the second best MW in the world? if not who else?
I also have recently viewed this fight on you tube. I expected AA to be dominate. I found him boring. When you watch a Pavlik fight, you see a beating. What is AA going to do when he gets hit by Pavlik?
Nah! Pavlik will have to pull up his socks and put his best foot forward in order to be victorious over the big German based Armenian puncher who tends to lose the early rounds but whose impressive firepower has never let him down in a case of emergency. As for Pirog I totally agree with you. Besides the two top dogs AA and Pavlik he is probably the most dangerous fighter at middle weight at present. Korobov,Golovkin,Ndam,Jacobs, the "Brits" are not ready yet for the top elite fighters. Geale,Mundine,Slyvester,LaJuan,Zbik,Griffin, and Lorenzo are no match for either AA or Pavlik. Gevor and Sturm are good fighters, but out of their shoes against AA and Pavlik. Pirog's problem is that he doesnt have a very recognisable name and is totally unknown outside the circle of us hardcore fans.Very high risk, very little reward! Pavlik and AA would be insane to take on such a dangerous threat!
Anyone who says that either fighter has "no chance" or "little chance" is just being silly. These guys match up very well and both of them are very good fighters. Stop trying to discredit stuff.
AA will certainly raise his game against Pavlik, and he does have the power to stop him with one punch. Pavlik will be the busier of the two, but AA's defence is high and tight as hell. AA will be break Pavlik down with sickening body shots, I see Pavlik being ahead on the cards when Arthur knocks him the **** out. :deal
Does Pavlik really have the ring craft and skill set to land all that often against a guy whose defense is something like water-tight?
AA is the type of boxer that puts people to sleep in ANY round including the last second of the 12 th round. The anticipation of a KO, which is highly likely in an arthur abraham fight makes your statement irrelevant. I never find arthur's fights boring, but then again, I am a fan.
Very good point, landshark! AA can knock out a foe any time.Thats why his fights are exciting up to a certain degree! I guess a lot of casual fight fans also like that AA tends to lose the early rounds to most of his opponents so that he is behind on points and needs to get serious in order to win the fight. Far more entertaining than to watch a totally dominating champ knock his outgunned opponent out somewhere in their fight
AA wants a career payday and to keep all German money on TOP of that. This fight isn't happening because he isn't willing to take the challenger's purse.
Pavlik is hittable, and Abraham hits hard, and his defense is better. Two power punchers, one has a better work rate than the other.....while the other has better defence and accuracy with his punches. Both are proven fighters. Its a pick-em fight. Either Pavlik UD or Abraham by KO are the most logical choices, no matter how you look at it.
I heard it would go to bid soon, but now that I'm back at work I just don't have as much time for the board. I should have NO time, but that's another topic. Kinda makes you wonder where the talk of Bute/Abraham came from.
It went to bid.GBP won it with just 16k to spare. It will probably land on the Floyd-JMM undercard on HBO baby. Bute goin to Vegas!:happy:happy About Bute/Abraham it's because both are IBF champs and the sanctioning body would allow Abraham to challenge Bute(usually when a champ moves up he can challenge the champ in the next division, this all under the same sanctioning body).
Thanks for the info. Would be one hell of a card with those two events. Bute gets some nice exposure to boot.
