Just watched Adamek v Briggs II - OMG!

    I am now officially an Adamek groupy - this fight is incredible!! - i think its better than Corrales v Castillo except for without the knockdown drama

    Such a high skill level and so much heart on display

    What happened to Briggs??

    I don't think Adamek beats Arreola... but i sure hope he does!!

    Have u seen the first? Its about as good, these fights are underrated and rather unknown cuz they re hard to find. If some1 would like to see em , pm me.

    ^Yeah, the first fight was just as good as the rematch, though both fights are criminally slept on.

    What's crazy is that that the first fight was on the undercard of Brewster-Golota. Brewster blew Golota out in less than 3 minutes, while Adamek-Briggs I was a FOTY candidate that wasn't televised in the US. HBO smartened up though, and aired the rematch as the co-feature to Valuev-Barrett.

    As far as Briggs goes, he ended up retiring a couple of years ago. If I recall correctly he was having a series of headaches and spells of dizziness.

    Was it the first or second fight that Adamek had a broken nose since sparring? Heard he fought an entire fight with Briggs with a broken nose and just swallowing the blood.

    Both fights were wars. Adamek fought the entire first Briggs fight with a broken nose.

    It was in their first fight. Adamek didn't wan't to lose his opportunity to fight for the world title and didn't canceled the bout W.A.R.R.I.O.R. Briggs also displayed awesome guts. Those fights are classics and as Adamek fan I have to say it could go wither way.

    Briggs is retired now at 34, he has some serious nervous system problems that stopped his promising career.
