Just watched Ali NOrton 3

Very true. If Norton would have fought all out the last 3 rounds he would have won the championship. It ended up being such a close fight....every time I watch it it's always 8-7 in rounds. I was at the fight and round after round would go by each being so close it was very hard to score. Mercante stated the same after the fight....with all his experience many rounds he had a tough time scoring.

Not a Good Perfromance by Ken Norton, yet he won 9 of the rounds on nearly every impartial observer's scorecard.

He definitely did, it as scandal that Ali got decision. They had a sports special on old show Wide World of Sports at the time, with most of program dedicated to re judging fight. Calls were made for boxing reform, and investigation was called for but never done. It was awful robbery. Yet me fools want to say stupid ****, and see if any idiots respond. 'Norton gave away.." Norton ****in won.

When I first saw that fight, I thought not just that Norton won, but that he kicked his ass. No way Ali won that fight.

 

Everyone here sounds very young and inexperienced. The fight was shown a few weeks after it occurred on live tv with a panel of past champions, boxing writers scoring the fight round after round. After 15 rounds a compilation of all the scorecards revealed a draw. Yes it was that close. I was there and I can attest that it was one tough fight to score.
