116-112 clear-cut decision for Calzaghe. I had mentioned a few days ago that I scored it 115-113 but I went back and watched it again. I had been generous to Kessler with a particular round but after watching it again I admit I was wrong. Calzaghe's a special fighter and I don't see how Hopkins is going to be able to beat him unless he ages overnight.

*I'm not going to mention which round I'm referring to :bart

after the 8th it was all JC. Kessler never really recoverd from the body shot it took his wind away. If the ref hadnt pulled Calzaghe off Kessler for hitting behind the head - he could have really put some damage on Kes

9-3 Easy for Joe. Kess EDGED 2, won 4, and I gave him the 12th.

P.S.- I'd bet it was either 2 or 7 that you gave back. Kess got some work done in 7 (so possibility of that one, and 2 was damn close.)

Hopkins fan I presume? Enjoy the next few weeks because you can still speculate on who's gonna win whereas after the fight there'll be no doubts as to who the better man is. Joe Calzaghe.

Yeah it was 7. It's not like it's some big secret cuz but yeah that's the one. I liked both fighters so I really had no bias one way or the other. I watched that fight just wanting to see 2 top guys go at it without any allegiance to either.

He was probably too tight to watch a unification match of very high quality and bought Trinidad v. Jones instead.

It was a great fight badly promoted

On my initial watch of the fight I gave 7 even but i think I was being generous to MK in retrospect. Kessler landed a few bombs - easily the best punches of the round but JC threw 100 plus. To my mind a few good shots dont cancel out the sort of work JC did. Had he been affected by them it may have been different but I far as I can tell he didnt blink.

Americans don't care about anything that's going on outside of America and boxing is no exception. We're a very open-minded country. :yep

Yes, of course you're right. That's why I took the time to even respond how I scored it and cared enough to even recall which rounds would have been tough to score.

    With that "American's" BS.:!:

P.S.- now that I know you gave 7 back to it's rightful owner, my curiosity is arroused to know which other you gave him, of the 4 you did. I'll assume 2,4, and 12 is a lock, so which other round did you give him??

Wow the harsh language......Get your dick out your ass....

My only point is to stop making the fight to be this "epic" clash that has to be revisited and revisited at nauseum....OKAY, Calzaghe rushed in and landed a "body punch:nut " - BIG FREAKING DEAL.....

and if that was Kessler's reason for backing off, then he'll inevitably be proven to be a fraud as well......He's already showing traces of this by reneging on his deal to fight Miranda to fight a "bum" he already beat:-(
